I feel I should warn people, but I have no idea where to do it : Scan is out of the CPUs in my build, even though the website still says they're in stock. In the end I bought one off overclockers for the same price. The item in question: [url]http://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel-core-i5-2500k-unlocked-s1155-sandy-bridge-quad-core-33ghz-gpu-850mhz-6mb-cache-95w-OEM[/url] Damn liars :C the stuff's going to come on monday when I was expecting it today, I'm properly gutted.
Okay, everything's arrived, so far I've screwed the standoffs into the case and screwed the motherboard into the standoffs. Now, what's the best way to go about installing the CPU? I got the OEM version of the CPU and thankfully the cooler that came free with the motherboard has some thermal compound.
Motherboard instruction booklet'll show you how, but it's pretty much as simple as placing it in the right way. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] put the cooler backplate on first, you'll need to take mobo out for that.
IT WORKS YAYYYYY Currently installing windows 7... everything works so far! Thank you guys!
Hows the case? I'm getting the same one
[QUOTE=Tuskin;31051346]Hows the case? I'm getting the same one[/QUOTE] It's pretty good. Has a shit ton of fans. Anyone else who's listening, I have one last minor problem. Does anyone know which pins the power button on the case should go to on the motherboard? I thought I found them but it doesn't do anything. :v: [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] Also I can't find shit in the manual about it, I've searched everywhere. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] Never mind, figured it out. EVERYTHING WORKS :D
