Oops...
If it still turns on you should be ok
If it still turns on you should be ok
Yeah, hopefully he won't get an electric shock or something... You'd be better off looking for a known phone-distributor who can take a look at the phone.
If it still turns on you should be ok
it does turn on and i get a nice white screen
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
This is just from it falling a meter?
This is just from it falling a meter?
yes onto ashphelt
This is just from it falling a meter?
This is what happens when you make a phone out of glass.
yes onto ashphelt
Well, my friend dropped his HTC Wildfire from the 4th floor onto asphalt - it still worked afterwards, save for a part of the screen. The iPhone 4 is a good deal more attractive, but from a functional standpoint it's not really a great design by any means.

I guess it has to hit the ground at the right point because I dropped my iPhone at least 3 times at gas stations with only minor scratches, even landing face down before I got my case.
That's why I always have a case on mine. The only times I remove it is to dock it. I was watching this iPhone case test on youtube called the survivor griffin or something like that and some guy shot a airsoft gun at his phone during the test and got his iPhone's screen cracked. Apple replaced it free of charge. But enough about that. Get a case next time OP.

Way over priced and mine as started to snap around where the jack is placed. Although I like the look of these http://www.switcheasy.com/ I'm quite interested in the clockwork case.
yes onto ashphelt
Damn I'm happy I never got one of those then. Since my phones had to a four story fall on asphalt once among other things. the thing wasn't even dented.
I didn't buy my phone for looks, I bought it because I liked the software, and I don't want to have to pay for another one because the cases are ugly. I don't really care how a case looks, as long as it protects the god damn phone.
this thread isnt called "talk about your android"
He was telling us about how his phone dropped four stories and still worked. What's wrong with that? His not being a fanboy and bashing the Apple brand. It's a fact that the iPhone 4 and 4s is fragile.

wow, um... holy shit. That happened from you dropping your phone from a meter? when you replace the screen, try getting a more sturdy one, like a really high quality plastic. On my galaxy s2 the screen is even smoother than glass, i'm like 90% sure that you can find screens for iPhones like that. [editline]16th April 2012[/editline] also isn't asphalt rubbery? i mean i can't imagine what would have happened if it fell onto cement.

While it's very scratch resistant, and pretty solid over-all, the way the iPhone is build simply exposes it too much. Not much to do there.

Two methods to protect you iPhone one a case two if you're so inclined to get a case insurance. I'm pretty sure I've seen scratches on them, and I think I also read somewhere they used something like gorilla glass, but not quite as durable as the type of glass Android phones use.

Apple generally does not disclose where they get their shit from, but it is Corning gorilla glass alright.
Gorilla glass is still glass. It's still gonna break if you drop it right. GoDong is right, Apple just makes it easier to break.
Gorilla glass is still glass. It's still gonna break if you drop it right. Where on my Nexus S it sits flush with a plastic rim and it curves. [editline]17th April 2012[/editline] Having a banana bendy phone has some advantages I guess.
That's what i mean when I say apple makes it easier to break
