No review codes out yet, ain't gonna buy it until I know the port is good.
Not a port. Ports don't spend a year and a half (or more) in development, and receive the amount of enhancements and new features GTA V PC did. [editline]6th April 2015[/editline]
The Recommended Nvidia card is the 660 2GB. You'll be fine!
Opps, Put 660 TI 2GB when I meant 660 2TB. Habit, I have a TI 3GB running physx.
Those portraits are the loading screen. The technical cert requirements for the 360 (So presumably the XB1, and I guess Sony have similar requirements) forbid having the same static screen for more than a couple of seconds. Apparently they expect console owners to have short attention spans??
Clearly I'm too use to the fast loading masterrace of PC :v:
65GB? Holy fuck. I thought the 48GB download of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare was huge.
There are games that are quite larger than that. Hell, Star Citizen will be 100 Gigs by the end of this year or beginning of next.
I'm tempted to throw this on my 240GB 850 Evo with about 140-150GB free. [editline]6th April 2015[/editline] Worth it compared to a 2TB HDD?
Judging on what the speed impact it does on the PS4 then yes the SSD will be faster.
Hope GTA V works flawlessly on Windows 10. Everything i've ran so far is a champ, besides Star Citizen.
I've got a GTX770 with 2GBs of VRAM and 8GBs of actual Ram. I hope that's enuff. I do have an SSD with 180GB of free space, but I'll rather have the space there than get 1 sec off my loading. A 1h 30min download (if it was 65GB, which it isn't) doesn't sound bad, so yeh.
What is the stock HDD speed on the PS3? My HDD does 7200 rpm, surely my loading screens won't be console-tier?
most likely 5200 as it's a small drive [editline]6th April 2015[/editline] RPM isn't everything in a modern HDD though. GTA V would see even more improvement in terms of world streaming and character switching considering the sheer amount of textures in the game.
and windows, have been completely slashed. starts up in practically no time
I have my Win 8.1 on the SSD, yes, starts instantly. Maybe the loadings will be improved alot, but still I'd like to keep the space there n stuff. In other words, I'd way rather worry about FPS than loading times.
And I'm still using an Athlon II. I hope I can at least run this on lowest settings.
There might be a physical copy, just expected it to come with A LOT of discs.
Brings back terrible memories of games just before DVDs became popular. Disk 5 of 7 is scratched. Install failed. [editline]6th April 2015[/editline]
it'll more than likely half your loading times. i went from a relatively fast WD Red drive to an m500 480GB m.2 drive and all of my loading times for games, and windows, have been completely slashed. starts up in practically no time CSGO is at the loading menu and ready to play almost as soon as i click the play button. Doesn't console GTA V only install like half the game to the drive by default? Surely GTA V PC being entirely on the drive would make it inherently faster.
far more than enough
oi m9 i siriusly hoep ure not kidius mee cuz i ussed 300euroes on tat gpu n eeven got watcs doges ass a bownus n i liekd it put it srsly vont compeete vithh gta v i hoep cuz itss a unoptttimisesd peace of shid lels sos pls dunt lie vhen u sai is far kry moor tan enuggh Tell me for once what was dumb aside from the correct grammar? :v: :suicide: (User was banned for this post ("shitposting" - Big Dumb American))
I hate to ask this, but is a Geforce 470 and Phenom II X6 2.7 any good? I just want to run the thing with a decent framerate and K/M.
I hate to ask this, but is a Geforce 470 and Phenom II X6 2.7 any good? I just want to run the thing with a decent framerate and K/M.
It will be fine for medium, maybe medium-high settings.
7 disks confirmed.
this shit reminds me of buying vanilla wow on CDs back in the day
I have a GeForce GTX 560M and a Core i7 2630QM (2.7 GHz OC) and 8 GB of RAM. Any ideas on if I'll be able to pull (30 fps is fine by me, I accept that my laptop is waaaay outdated)
But we even know it's not a port...It would be legitimate reasoning if it were a port. But it's not, so...
After GTA IV PC I don't care if it's coded specifically for PC or not. I don't have $60 sitting around to throw at a game that's not gonna run for shit on my machine. I need to know how well the game runs before I decide whether or not I'll be ordering a physical copy off Newegg.
I knew buying a 240 GB SSD would be good for something..
So glad this is tomorrow because I can get this downloaded before I move house on Wednesday, then just use my wifi hotspot on my phone for the remainder of the files, because I'll have no net for a week or so.
7 disks confirmed.
at least you get great disk art I hope the unboxing ring makes a video for it, I really want to see the disk art
I know it's probably been said but it's sad how this pretty much rules out my country for a download.
I finally caved and pre-ordered the damn thing, even though I already bought it for PS4 a few months back. I get more use out of my PC anyway.
I was not going to preorder GTAV and I was going to wait until the release in order to buy it. But that ability to start the preload tomorrow really led me to buying it now versus later. On my college network, it's going to take me a few days at least to download the whole thing. Although I shouldn't be complaining about download speeds because there are other people that are much worse off than I am in that regard.
Damn dude what kind of data plan are you rolling with?
probably three. unlimited data @ £15/mo [editline]6th April 2015[/editline] never had any problems downloading games from stream on Three. got 36Mb/s down one day and downloaded the entire half life series in study hall
Giffgaff, unlimited data. I'm doing the preload before I move house though, and only activating the game using the mobile data on release day.
Tell me for once what was dumb aside from the correct grammar? :v: :suicide:
I would if I could fucking read it.
