Moffat is a huge Doctor Who fan; there's this relic of a forum post of him from 1996 or something about him writing Doctor Who stories.
Him being a fan, and him being competent and knowledgable are two completely seperate things.
I stopped watching this show because it became a really really awkwardly cringey space opera and I couldn't deal with it. I just want some of the silliness of Tennant. Moffat was a good guest writer, but god damn he pumped the show full of like 20 different simultaneous plot lines and really made me lose interest.
I stopped watching around the time he took over as well. He drove many interesting enemies from the previous series into the ground, and I couldn't bear the ~progressive~-ness and the forced lol xd so british humor that he shoved into the newer seasons to please Tumblr fangirls. Russel T. Davies wasn't the best writer around, but at least he wasn't constantly pandering to the new fanbase that was developing at the time.
Watch him bring back the worst written characters ever just to piss us of- wait a minute Rose is already confirmed.
When will we get a new writer? Steven Moffat is terrible, he tries to cram big stories into single episodes, some of them might not be so bad if they made them 2 parters but for some reason they seem really scared to make 2 or 3 part episodes like they used too.
People are getting mad about a boring show that reuses enemies more than CoD.
woah sick burn mate xD
When will we get a new writer?
woah sick burn mate xD
Ok? I mean it's not like I'm lying, for something that the BBC touts as original British drama it doesn't have a lot of originality in it.
Someone post a link to that archive, we must see this.
I've read that post, no idea how to get the link though. Basically he wrote down the idea that humans got the word "doctor" from his name.
People are getting mad about a boring show that reuses enemies more than CoD.
fuck with that attitude there is literally no modern TV show that you can watch besides crime drama's because they all reuse enemies. What if Steven Moffat actually ends up being the new doctor?

I agree that if they just stretched them out over more parts they would feel a lot better, but I still feel like Moffat needs to work on the scripts a lot more with his team. Smith is a great doctor, just he's been given little to work with.

He's basically just kinda there while things happens around him. Then love resolves the problems in the plot and everyone is happy the end.

Not every episode I'd say.
What if Steven Moffat actually ends up being the new doctor?
starring steven moffat as the companion and the doctor
