Aw yiss.... One of the first artbooks I ever bought was from the Incredibles.
Everything about this movie, especially the look and feel, was done perfectly. I cannot wait to see the new one. :D
I really hope they reserve the atmosphere they had in the first one. I fucking loved the orchestral, James-Bond'ey ambiance they spent so much time trying to convey.
What in the world would the second one be about?
Maybe they'll do the comic book thing and just have a brief timeskip, Mr Incredible is hailed as something of a civil rights activist which causes a brief split between old-age and new-age supers, kids has their own thing with seperating their civilian and hero identities whilst their marriage is just plain strained due to heroes being more open. maybe Mirage is actually an esper/time-powered Super, her powers is based on what time she's in. traveling back in time probably added some stress which bleached her hair.
because surely the whole "Mr Incredible, you and i technically don't exist" seems like she's either talking about how she's under the radar as a villain's secretary, or she's actually a super of somekind. or maybe Helen gets some generic mutation and gains shapeshifting powers, she probably goes back in time because the kids would've been killed from her original timeline so she has to provide a good future.
Probably would be bad if they focused the entire movie on Dash/Violet/Jack Jack. would it be far of a stretch to assume that Syndrone actually had a power; super-intelligence, but he expected heroes should have the more generic comic book powers like super strength, cryokinesis, stretching powers and reality warping? always up for more Frozone.
The Incredibles is my favourite Pixar film, tied with all three Toy Storys, A Bugs Life, Ratatouille, Monster's Inc, Finding Nemo, Wall-E and Up.
They're all fucking great. Pixar are very good.
