If Pegatron was smart, they'd drop iOS over ASUS. ASUS Master race.
Freedom of business and market, fuck yeah!
Uhm, do you know anything about business laws? Obviously not.
If Pegatron was smart, they'd drop iOS over ASUS. ASUS Master race.
No they wouldn't I hate Apple's business tactics as much as the next guy but the chances are that they profit more from manufacturing for Apple than they do ASUS.

I get sick...
I get sick...
I laughed hard. Macrumors is far off to one side of the spectrum.
Not in this case. It's considered anti-competitive practices, basically, its monopolistic. I'm pretty sure that in the U.S. and I know for a fact that in Europe this is incredibly illegal and Apple would basically be paying out the ass to Asus.
The deal is probably being made in china due to the manufacturing being there, I don't know what their laws are like but if they're as lax as their copyright laws/unenforced then I don't imagine much will be done anyway.
I'll just say it: Apple's rotten.
Does this mean no more G74SX's will be produced? Ive been meaning to get one
I'll just say it: Apple's rotten.
I dislike this saying, as it implies that things aren't working as they were designed to, like something's gone wrong and someone is reaping the benefits from the disadvantaged masses. In reality, things are merely working far too well, like a machine so well-oiled the people maintaining it slip inside and get mulched up by the cogs. The veneer of Apple is so smooth and clean because the bleach they put on it is corrosive, and it melts the teeth of anyone who tries to take a bite from it.
It DOES look an awful lot like an Air though. Zenbook: [t]http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/10/zenbook-ux31-profile-1319212497.jpg[/t] Macbook Air: [t]http://cdn.macrumors.com/article-new/2011/06/macbook_air_2010_profile.jpg[/t] Still bullshit though. Shouldn't end their device contract as that's just prickery by Apple.
The problem being though that it's gotten to the point where there really aren't that many different ways to design these products. If you want to make an incredibly thin laptop, its pretty much going to have to look like a Macbook Air. I however, prefer the way they did the Zenbook, mainly because of the rounded edge at the back of it. Looks slimmer that way.
And, you know, it doesn't have an obnoxious glowing fruit on the back, that helps.
Apples are better when they have white all over them.
Fucking apple will never stop this shitfest.
Sit in starbucks with a zenbook, be a rebel
remind me to steal or pirate my next apple product
Sit in starbucks with a zenbook, be a rebel
Pfft, slam one of these down.
This is stupid, Apple just happens to take things even further with their bullshit. Sueing every company for copying their patents and shit when Apple copied in the first place. What sucks even more is that most people who use Apple products don't even know what Apple's been doing for the last few years with this.
Is this shit really necessary?
Is this shit really necessary?
Apparently it is.

[editline]14th February 2012[/editline] Even the hinge and trackpad look different.
Apple is playing Monopoly with the electronics world and its fucking up customers and everything else related to it. This needs to stop.
Is this all because of simple loopholes in the US patent system? That's what it seems to always boil down to, no matter how much Apple is being a prick.

Whatever you make is going to somehow look like a Macbook.
Fuck you Apple. Go die in a hole.

[editline]15th February 2012[/editline] Instead of doing ridiculous shit like this apple could put the money spent on this into making stuff that you know actually is BETTER than the competitions.
