I would understand them keeping him arrested under FBI custody during the length of the investigation. But slapping possession & receipt of child pornography without any evidence is just pathetic.
Pathetic? That's why it's a charge and not a conviction. Meaning it's still being deliberated on. Also, I didn't read anywhere in the article that said they searched his computer and found nothing. All it says is that the FBI interviewed him and he said it was a joke. That means the charges still hold, as they haven't even conducted an actual investigation as of yet. So there's still the possibility that he does actually have a collection of CP somewhere. Also, this does seem pretty damning, "actively discussing child pornography and methods for downloading pornography from the Internet," but at the same time, that's a pretty vague statement. I don't know, all it says is the FBI conducted a search of his home. It didn't say that they conclusively found him to be innocent in the possession of child pornography. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
gj not reading the full article.
Uh? Just because he claims it was a joke, doesn't mean it's not fucking sick. I guarantee anyone making jokes like that at my house wouldn't be staying for long.
p. sure he's joking in that image too
Or is he? You be the judge as the following video is from him as well:
Sick puppy. But sticking him with POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY when he in fact, owns no child pornography, is a bit excessive no?
"lets slap terrorism on him because he has legal hobbies i don't like"
About as ridiculous as charging him with child pornography when he doesn't actually have any huh? :v:
this is him by the way, and he is awesome and i hope he doesn't get put in jail [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] p. sure he's joking in that image too
Ahaha, shit. This guy pops up on the SA internet trainwreck thread a lot and let me tell you, he is a creepy ass motherfucker.
Ahaha, shit. This guy pops up on the SA internet trainwreck thread a lot and let me tell you, he is a creepy ass motherfucker.
I was sure I saw this dude before. What a funny coincidence.
You can arrest anyone with anything, but holding them is a completely different story. Sure, he can make fucked up posts, but if he has no child porn (Even if he had Loli, it is legal in America), then they are required to release him.
Sounds like they just wanted to make an arrest to feel good about themselves. He hasn't committed any crimes, as far as I can see. He should get off free, even if he is one hell of a creep.
As wrong as it is for him to say such things, even in jest, last I checked, simple words floating in the air (or in this case, cyberspace) (with the exception of threats against the president's life and threats of bombs) weren't illegal in the United States. Whether or not his words could be sufficient for a search warrant I'm not entirely sure on, but by no means should he be arrested for them - let alone arrested with a superfluous and (as far as we know, since the article doesn't explicitly state whether or not he had any) false charge.
Can't say I feel sorry for the bastard, but if he doesn't actually HAVE any, then you can't really get him on anything.
The FBI located and arrested one man out of all of facebook for posts that are fictitious, if tasteless, and charged him with possession of CP (despite the fact that he had none). I've made some really tasteless posts on FB in my day, but this sets a precedent that really fucks everyone over. Imagine if the government had the right to arrest you for drug possession for posting a joke about drugs.
I guess the bill of rights really is dead.
You should learn to read FaceBook's privacy policy.
probably had a bunch of Loli on his computer.
Can't say I feel sorry for the bastard, but if he doesn't actually HAVE any, then you can't really get him on anything.
Due to the nature of these "jokes" I'm inclined to believe that he does in fact have child pornography.
these charges won't stick
Comments posted by the user included statements on how to obtain child porn on the Internet, how to encrypt the images on a computer, and statements such as “all cp isn’t rape, Sometimes the kids want it. Most of the time they NEED it,” records show. In another Facebook post, records show, he wrote: “What if I adopt a little girl? I’m sure she wouldn’t mind becoming my sex slave if I take her away from the orphanage.”
I don't care if they're satirical or meant humorously, you're just asking to get your ass handed to you.
Due to the nature of these "jokes" I'm inclined to believe that he does in fact have child pornography.
If you judge a person by their jokes, I must be fucked.

But he's a lolicon! Lolicons don't like REAL girls!
OH FUCK I BETTER HIDE THAT CP I DON'T HAVE OH GOD GUYS HELP The FBI in Detroit received a tip last June about a Facebook user who was “actively discussing child pornography and methods for downloading pornography from the Internet," according to the affidavit. Comments posted by the user included statements on how to obtain child porn on the Internet, how to encrypt the images on a computer, and statements such as “all cp isn’t rape, Sometimes the kids want it. Most of the time they NEED it,” records show. OK actually I can see why they did this... fuck him
But he's a lolicon! Lolicons don't like REAL girls!
Would it matter if he did?
It's well known that Thad's sense of humor is sick I mean, he even posted a video of himself having sex with a body pillow on Tumblr [editline]a[/editline] also free thad
Even if it turns out he doesn't have any, wouldn't this fall under some kind of legal loophole? Like how if kids post on their facebook how they're going to shoot up the school they can be arrested? Also, isn't aiding people in hiding incriminating things illegal as well?
It's well known that Thad's sense of humor is sick I mean, he even posted a video of himself having sex with a body pillow on Tumblr
I was wondering when someone was going to post that.
I don't know what's more scary The fact that this guy got arrested for some comment he said on Facebook or the fact that the FBI is watching what you post

This guy lives a town over and I'm pretty sure I've seen him around my college... Wow..

Censorship of any kind disgusts me worse than anything Thad could ever say.
There's no excuse to arrest someone for speech. There is absolutely none.
Well, hate speech can go suck a big dick, I'll happily watch people getting arrested for it.
There's no excuse to arrest someone for speech. There is absolutely none. Censorship of any kind disgusts me worse than anything Thad could ever say.
Supreme Court already ruled that things like seditious speech is grounds to be arrested.
This is just in, your humour is real humour, his humour is not. Humour is an opinion people, just because it's idiotic in your opinion doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to make jokes about it.
