I bought this game, but only because I got a 50$ gift card with it, I wouldn't have purchased it if I hadn't.
I'm glad I got it though, it's pretty decent - inb4 PC<360 or whatever, I'm just giving my honest opinion.
Whoever that bought PC version of MW2 for $60 is a massive tool!
$30 of Ebay my friend. I would never buy a game full price for over $40.
Plus I'm British so $30 is about £20 - £25 and $40 is about £30 - £35.
they've already gone to the extent of charging PC gamers 20% more than before just because they can.
If you're smart you buy it on www.g2play.net for €35,-

And hope you don't get a Russian copy, and your CD-key disabled for using the key in the wrong geographical area.

Poland is not in Russia.
EA did the same thing to Battlefield 2 you were able to use the Euro Forces even if you didn't buy it,
all you had to do was edit the level you wanted go to server.zip and change the Init.con file
example
gameLogic.setKit 1 0 "CH_Specops" "ch_light_soldier"
gameLogic.setKit 2 0 "US_Specops" "us_light_soldier"
to
gameLogic.setKit 1 0 "CH_Specops" "ch_light_soldier"
gameLogic.setKit 2 0 "EU_Specops" "eu_light_soldier"
Remember this was before the 1.50 patch before Euro Forces became free
and that's all you had to do fucking dumb isn't it?
If you're smart you buy it on www.g2play.net for €35,-
you mean if you're from europe/poland.
i am not from poland nor europe.
Though nothing is to say for fact this is DLC as they maybe leftover scraps or untested gametypes. Who knows, they may later become playlists.
If you're smart you buy it on www.g2play.net for €35,-
If you're smarter you don't buy it at all.
PC users never usually have to pay for Call of Duty DLC anyway. So whats the fuss about?
PC users never usually have to pay for Call of Duty DLC anyway. So whats the fuss about?
hurr
I don't know what's worse the fact that companies are doing this or that they think the players that purchase and support these games won't find out.
This is how regulatory bodies get set up. It's like being charged hidden fees for insurance, and those commision-based comapanies phone to let you know 10 years afterwards how to get it back. This has to stop.
Though nothing is to say for fact this is DLC as they maybe leftover scraps or untested gametypes. Who knows, they may later become playlists.
Exactly, this could just be leftover files for future playlists being developed. By the same logic, you could all assume Valve plans to charge you for "Zombie Dog" DLC. Chill out.
PC users never usually have to pay for Call of Duty DLC anyway. So whats the fuss about?
well things about to change lol.
PC users never usually have to pay for Call of Duty DLC anyway. So whats the fuss about?
because PC users most likely will have to
I think we do since they got them to work in game.
[editline]11:21PM[/editline]
But then again I don't see any videos. So if anyone's willing to try this out I'd like to see some.
Re-read my post, focusing on the last word. We know what they are, not what they're for. That's like blaming Valve for the same thing because there were several unused models of weapons in the game files. But no, let's all jump on the popular "BASH IW WITHOUT PLAYING MW2 HURR" bandwagon.
This better be a cheap DLC, the game modes look awesome but if they are already in the game they should be unlocked at like 2nd prestige or something. It's low to make us pay for something we already own.
I don't know what's worse the fact that companies are doing this or that they think the players that purchase and support these games won't find out.
Because most people will not find out, that's the problem.
Any PC gamer who pays for DLC is a traitor to the cause
seriously, DLC gamemodes? how low can you go IW, that's like buttraping a horse and then telling it you want the cum back
What makes it more insulting is that they're already in the game, you might end up paying to use content you already have,
Whoever that bought PC version of MW2 for $60 is a massive tool!
Please look up the word tool before using it.
Thank you.
PC users never usually have to pay for Call of Duty DLC anyway. So whats the fuss about?
Those two words next to each other make that sentence not make sense.
relax the fuck out guys.
2 New gamemodes got added a couple of days ago. The random gamemode (Mosh something) and the other gamemode i can't remember. Did you have to pay for thoose? No. Now lets wait and see what happends

I paid for Euroforce. Played it once. Worthless addon.
Activision, taking the DL out of DLC.
Activision, Taking the DL out of DLC, and also taking the remaining C out of C.

Modern Warfare 2. Different ballgame.
well things about to change lol.
Oh fuck! All of a sudden, you have to pay for the things other people had to pay for all along?
Fuck that shit, you should go rage on Facepunch!
This is worse than L4D2's boycott idiocy. Grow up, guys. Oh god, 10 more dollars on the price tag (which console gamers paid anyways). Oh fuck, you have to pay for DLC (which console gamers paid for anyways).
The world's going to end because you guys have to actually pay for shit.
It costed the same as any normal game did.

Wow, go back to your 360?
Hosting DLC on xbox live servers isn't free, microsoft charge for it. Whereas on PC you can upload once and in a few minutes it'll have hundreds of mirrors.
Giving you a disc with the full game on it, then making you pay $10 more to use it all is disgusting. Don't give me the "oh it's just $10 ontop" bullshit, we buy the game but don't expect to pay more ontop just to access the stuff on the disc. The game was already bumped up in price in the first place.
Maybe the $10 for for the content already in the game, and they'll add it in a later patch when they are not being rushed to release.
It costed the same as any normal game did.
Usually games on PC sell for £29.99 on release, but MW2 was bumped up to £35 and I've seen it going for £40 in stores.
Am I the only one who got the playlist update the other day? I'm surprised it hasn't come to any of you that it's entirely possible that in a playlist update, the gamemodes will be available.
