Stop prolonging Bush's imperialistic dreams and get us out of the Middle East already. That's why I voted for you.
I didn't say I would do that.
I didn't say I would do that.
Well, can you go and ban mahmoud_ahmadinejad, he's trolling again.
New tactic: Say we're going to storm Marja and then don't side-effects: The terrorists are now stuck inside the city, having mined all the way around it, and no longer remember where they put them all. Wait for them to starve and then burn the poppies.
Good luck to our boys
Nobody knows how great American surveillance and reconnaissance is better than I. After all, it's my job. But did you read anything of the city? The entire area is a network of tunnels, irrigation canals, and bridges. Even UAVs, our most advanced means of reconnaissance, surveilance, and target acquisition, cannot see an IED placed in a culvert, shoved into a pile of rocks, or tossed in a ditch. This is a populated city we're talking about. Our UAVs are severely hampered in such an environment. Tracking a single target is damn near impossible in a crowd, and even if we threw in every UAV that could fit in the airspace over that city, we couldn't track everybody. Of course IEDs are going to be an issue. They're always the issue. They pose a massive threat to our ground forces, and there's not a whole hell of a lot we can do about it except pray that we can catch a few people in the act of placing them- and are lucky enough not to trigger too many during the assault.
Which is why people are always testing new ways and ideas to combat against that. Hopefully, we could have something to combat against that. Well, I guess the only way is sending remote controlled vehicles to set it off.
give 'em hell boys!
give 'em hell boys!
Here's an idea, just send a bunch of Soldiers into the city. They'd just rocket-jump from house to house, killing insurgents while yelling "MAGGOTS!"
If they're going to do something like this why not just: Station artillery all around the city with heavy armor escorts, then tell everyone who isn't a terrorist to get the fuck out or else they'll bomb the place to hell. Meh, then they'd take hostages again, but they couldn't grab everyone. It would reduce civilian casualties.
I'm hoping for a stalemate at least, though not really a complete defeat. If the militants can hold their own against this arrogant plan, that brings them another step closer to finally kicking the Americans out of their country.
You missed the part where it says that the afghan army is also helping in the attack.
Wait, I thought obama promised to bring the soldiers home
He promised to bring the soldiers from IRAQ home.
Hey, Big Dumb American. We've missed your posts. For a moment, I thought this was going to be about Iran, from all the news about them so far.
Only because you've been posting them from faux news. [editline]02:31PM[/editline] I wish we were fighting an enemy that A. You knew who he was by his uniform B. Everybody wanted to fight Like the Nazi's. EVERYbody hated them, NObody protested world war 2, and they had a definite uniform.
If they had a uniform we would have won this war in a matter of weeks.

The town is surrounded and the only escape route for the militants is through the desert.
The town is surrounded and the only escape route for the militants is through the desert.
No way they'll escape through the very environment they've spent their whole lives surviving and fighting in!
You realize Obama didn't decide this, it was his military advisor or general. He just said " Ok go kill dem terworists!!1!" He doesn't actually have any power.
Finally some real shits happening.
Hey we missed this from CNN: "Military officials said the offensive—dubbed Operation Moshtarak—was scheduled to be under way at 2 a.m. (4:30 p.m. ET Friday)." So the attack has just been launched in the last few hours.
No way they'll escape through the very environment they've spent their whole lives surviving and fighting in!
What? It doesn't matter how well they know their area. Trying to escape into an open desert makes you vulnerable, much more so than hiding in a town laden with IED's and civilians to hide behind.
You realize Obama didn't decide this, it was his military advisor or general. He just said " Ok go kill dem terworists!!1!" He doesn't actually have any power.
He's the commander in chief, of course he has power.
Expect a massive increase in casualties during this operation Good luck boys and girls
Those IED's are going to massively complicate firefights.
Good God. You just set the bar with every post you make.
And what do you mean by that? My post wasn't dumb or illogical. What's so bad in hoping for a stalemate?
