Good demographic for Facepunch. "Not interested in anything apart from games"
Did Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close get nominated because good film or because 9/11

War Horse was really good I thought, dunno about Best Film good though. Also Tintin deserved best animated film I think
2012 is gonna be a fucking great year for movies. Prometheus, Seven Psychopaths, Django Unchained, The Dark Knight Rises, Gravity, Looper, The Hobbit, Moonrise Kingdom (almost forgot), Skyfall (maybe), Avengers I GUESS and probably more I'm forgetting/don't realize yet.
Don't forget Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. If it's anything like the book it's going to be great.
Plus, Expendables 2 should be a decently fun time if nothing else.
I'm sure it's been said a few times in this thread; but where the fuck is Drive? It belongs in much more important places than "sound editing".
Nah. Unfurtonately, we already saw that movie being released here.
Hugo, Moneyball, all of these are not out over here. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is. Tintin just came out.
Hollywood is weird. Sometimes, movies are released here before they are on Brazil, sometimes a week later, sometimes a month later, sometimes three months later, sometimes never.
Fucking hate region restrictions. I missed a couple of good movies cause they were never released.
You are taking this too personally, Cl0ck.
The Artist is an extremely interesting experiment. I commend it for being black and white, silent, 4:3, but because of that it really is Oscar bait.
No, it's not. Just because a movie does a creative throwback to silent films doesn't mean it's Oscar bait. If there is "Oscar bait" this year, it's Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

No it's not, it's a good example of a silent movie. Plenty of inspiration went in making it as you can see.
It's the only one of its kind in the last "near as makes no difference" century, so the only inspiration it had is 20 years worth of movies.
