If ebola was as common as the flu, ebola would be 500 times more deadly
That's the problem, it isn't. Ebola doesn't have the potential to be a pandemic because it can't spread the way the flu does. Flu spreads extremely well and a good strain can kill a huge chunk of the world(Spanish Flu, which killed more people than WW1 did).
One less thing to worry about!
GOOD JOB CANADA!
Now to create more cures for more common things like AIDs and Cancer.

I thought we already had a cure for HIV that was in human trials.

Do we? I must of missed that news. D:
Now I won't be afraid to travel to Africa!
...if that would ever happen
Good, I can worry less if Ebola Zaire was used for bioterrorism
Do we? I must of missed that news. D:
I saw a news thing about it about a year ago. It's a special chemical or something that hits a vulnerable protein on the virus and deactivates it. I can't remember what it's called though and couldn't find it on google(although my search was half-assed at best).
Sure, but wishing death on millions because someone isn't being very smart?
Your posts make my eyes bleed.
You don't see Cluckin_Bell's retarded comment but you respond to DrBreen's sarcastic remark?
Wow.
Sarcasm sure does transfer well over emotionless text
Your posts make my eyes bleed.
Why? Because you have experience with the poster, therefore you would know it was sarcastic, and I wouldn't?
[editline]01:33PM[/editline]
Also, I figured he was sarcastic because no one is that stupid
Sarcasm sure does transfer well over emotionless text
Actually it transfers fine. I can tell easily when most people are being sarcastic.
Actually it transfers fine. I can tell easily when most people are being sarcastic.
When I said emotionless I meant Breen's comment, that literally had no hint of sarcasm other than how stupid it was.
This virus is crazy sick, I mean bleeding from every pore in your body.
Fuck that would hurt
When I said emotionless I meant Breen's comment, that literally had no hint of sarcasm other than how stupid it was.
It's not sarcasm i really wish millions of people would die. (:downs:)
They should try to apply this method to other viruses, such as the common cold and/or herpes.
[editline]04:45PM[/editline]
actually they probably already have.
Yay!
He's actually responding to the other douche, and he's kind of right. Saying we shouldn't care because it's not in Europa / US is plain stupid.
?
First thing that came to mind was the hot zone. I loved that book.
PRINCE.EDWARD.ISLAND (CBC) - The deadly Ebola virus has been treated successfully in monkeys using a new technology, researchers say.
wonder how many monkeys we gave Ebola before we got it
Damn, I always told myself if I caught ebola I would get my blood on as many people as possible at once.
like cut myself open in a crowd or something
shit happens
This is probably the best news I've heard all day. It could be a very very important discovery for mankind.
Aren't there different branches of Ebola, that would each one require different treatments? Ebola Zaire is the only one that comes to mind.
Yeah however I'm quite sure they now know the procedure for creating a cure for each different strain. It's good that they cured the most deadly strain first.
Shit, from what i've seen in documentaries the only real cure until now was to burn everything and everyone ever to have had contact with the virus.
Yay for science. :D
I'm surprised, nothing important ever happens here in PEI.
Well it looks like this book goes in the trash.
Not really, Ebola is pretty harmless on a large scale since it can't spread very well in an area with good hygiene.
Influenza viruses are the worst viruses out there.
And Ebola burns itself out too fast to spread
Read this in the papers the other day since I live outside of Vancouver. It's pretty cool to know that some day we'll eradicate all diseases and viruses that kill as many people as Ebola
I thought that is currently can only be spread through bodily fluids? But oh well, this is good that they're finding a way to treat it.

IS there anywhere I can read this book online or somewhere I can download it?
