South Korea enacts chemical castration law against child sexual abuse
If it would be an addition to the jailtime then that would be completely pointless.
Why? It's a punishment, and it would not have to be returned back to normal until sometime after he's been released.
Think of it as part of his "trial time" after release.
Chemical castration is basically deleting the existence of the testicles without physically removing them.
Do the same for the ovaries, and done.
Yes, but still the other part of the comment I very much agree with.

But chemical castration removes all sexual drive, and you won't even be tempted into abusing someone sexually, or even think about it.
If you want to feel in power, just tie him up to a chair and hit and kick him. Don't need to rape someone to feel in command.

Because you don't put criminals in jail just to punish them. You do it to keep society safe from him aswell as have him not do it again, usually by rehabilitation, therapy. If you just put them in to punish them they're gonna start committing crimes as soon as they are put out in society again.
It's actually shocking reading these posts. You're not only trying to defend paedophiles - you're giving reasons to legalise watching it? I can't even begin to understand the thought process behind these ideas, possibly because there isn't any.
If you're defending paedophiles or child porn you're on the same level as those who are actually committing the crimes.
On the topic of the thread, chemical castration is a horrible idea. They should be castrated with an axe before castrating their head.
What a sickening thread.
I'd also like to add to this post that there is no way to reduce sex crimes other than traditional ways and policing the internet more.
Stop this nonsense thread, I hope you all get arrested.

Is that any better? Make a sexual abuser into simply a torturer?

I hope you get arrested for wishing the mutilation and consequential murder of human beings.

No, I'm just saying, that the argument he made didn't have any validity to it.

Lets use some made up numbers.
Lets say out of 1000 paedophiles, 250 will rape once and 50 will rape twice.
That is 350 victims.
Now lets say, 100 of these to-be-rapists decide to watch different child pornographic videos instead of actually raping.
That is still 350 victims.
OP's avatar fits

People have differing opinions? Arrest them! There is little I despise more than this bullshit right here.
No, I'm just saying, that the argument he made didn't have any validity to it.
Yes it did, if it's about power, then this 'castration' isn't going to do anything. It may remove the sex drive but the abuse is still gonna go on.

Maybe, but to be honest, if it was going to happen to you because you have already been kidnapped and tied down, you'd rather take the beating than the raping, no?
So your argument is that videos will only be watched once on average?
Let's do it differently then:
A rapist may rape once, alright? That's one child being abused.
Let's say he watches child porn, how many different children does he watch? That would probably make many more children being abused.
Maybe, but to be honest, if it was going to happen to you because you have already been kidnapped and tied down, you'd rather take the beating than the raping, no?
I'd rather take pain than pain in the ass.
So your argument is that videos will only be watched once on average?
No, I'm just using a small number of people. There would be a rise of videos made if it is legalised, and there isn't a massive amount of paedophiles that would actually rape someone. According to that chart it's down to about 1.5 per 1000, that's not a lot. Numbers of abused would stay around the same.
Gotta love that even news sites like these have fuck all idea what the difference between a paedophile and a sexual child abuser.
Bleh, sometimes it feels like nobody in the world has any idea about that. So I was pretty happy when I saw the mistake being aknowledged in the OP, thanks!
Maybe, but to be honest, if it was going to happen to you because you have already been kidnapped and tied down, you'd rather take the beating than the raping, no?
Yes definitely, but who says that's all he's gonna do? Even if he doesn't have the sex drive doesn't mean he wouldn't do something sexual with me or even worse.
Let's do it differently then:

Let's say he watches child porn, how many different children does he watch? That would probably make many more children being abused.
How many total children are abused by someone watching child porn? Zero. What are the chances it could prevent him from raping a kid? More than zero.
And even if he wouldn't, this 'solution' still is only gonna change it slightly.
How many total children are abused by someone watching child porn? Zero. what are the chances it could prevent him from raping a kid? More than zero.
Ladies and gentlemen, the epitome of delusion!
How many total children are abused by someone watching child porn? Zero. What are the chances it could prevent him from raping a kid? More than zero.
I do consider child porn child abuse.
Ladies and gentlemen, the epitome of delusion!
Watching. One child is abused every time child pornography is created. Not when it is watched.
Watching. One child is abused every time child pornography is created. Not when it is watched.
But for it to be watched it has to be created.
Watching. One child is abused every time child pornography is created. Not when it is watched.
Well, if we had some statistics we could see how many children are in porn and how many children are raped.
Ladies and gentlemen, the epitome of delusion!
Do .wmv files have souls all of a sudden? The only part of child porn that harms children is the making of it, and that already happens.
If the demand of child porn would rise, there would obviously be alot more child porn. And if more people would watch child porn, the demand would rise.
I do consider child porn child abuse.
You can't "consider" it that. Might aswell just "consider" eating a banana theft.
Watching child porn does not directly harm anyone except maybe the watcher himself. Whether it indirectly causes harm by somehow supporting the creation is a different discussion. But there's no way it causes any direct harm.
