Still, This just doesn't feel right. But theres nothing I can do about it. I just hope the trial is fast and results in death for them, but I have a feeling this case going to last years.
Guilty until proven guilty, huh?
I had to turn down a few people's request a few months ago.
I'd like to make myself clear; I won't be running in 2012.
Sorry Thisispain.
it's okay babe
Why not?
Putting them in the very city they attack will create a biased jury. We need an impartial one.
Just because these guys are sons of bitches that attacked us, doesn't mean we have to turn into them.
The day we turn into these guys and fight fire with fire, is the day we are no longer Americans.
Guilty until proven guilty, huh?
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed admitted it, that should be enough.
I'd prefer Guilty until proven guilty over Guilty until made innocent through a shitty court trial for one of the worlds most notorious terrorists ever any day.

Yeah, because putting them on trial in an unfriendly city is JUST like flying a plane full of innocent people into a 100+ story building and killing 3,000+ people.

This isn't China where we instantly send them into a death bus without a fair trial.
and that second sentence made no sense, whatsoever.

Not allowing a fair and just trial is a monstrosity itself.

What does that even solve? It's not going to bring anyone back.

Let me restate myself:

These people are going to be guilty regardless. You honestly think they shouldn't be put in NYC because it would make us look like big meanies?
Bias jury my ass. They didn't attack just NYC, they attacked the whole fucking country. They can go to Hawaii and still get sentenced.

No, they shouldn't be put on NYC, because the attack happened there, therefore creates a biased jury. It's not about public reception or making us look like big meanies, it's about upholding a standard we've been following since this nation has been created.
I mean, fuck, you're a Republican aren't you? You should be agreeing, or are you one those fake republicans whose only goal is to be against Liberals?

I will have lost faith in the American Court system if this man walks away.

Party orientation has no business in this.

These guys murdered 3,000 on our soil.
The Government would use a lawyer that puts Microsoft ones in shame.

I'm an independent. And it is law that a criminal gets tried in the city and state that the crime was committed.
I live in the most southern part of New Jersey, and I'm fucking pissed off at these guys. You don't have to live in NYC to be biased against these assholes. The whole country is going to vote them guilty no matter where they are tried, so why not NYC? It would make a poetic end.

If you were part of the jury in that trial, would you consider all the evidence and hear the defendants out? Or are you going to just say "guilty" when you first walk into the courtroom?
If you say yes, how many New Yorkers would?

Non-New Yorkers.

If I was part of the jury, I would walk in, sit down, grab folder... Look in it to find pictures of 9/11, and all the other bombings he's taken part in, along with documents showing him confess to all of them. I would proceed by closing the file, and saying "guilty." Seriously, anyone who thinks this man should be let free is incredibly stupid.

too bad you're like 13 years old
and plus no-one's going to let this man free
and you probably wondered why i called you 13, it's probably because you think anyone is going to let him free
seriously you should feel bad
They're not soldiers. They're not prisoners of war.
I think it's reasonable to say that anyone who is involved in the planning or execution of terrorist attacks is an enemy combatant, and therefore is a prisoner of war once captured.
Prisoners of war who have committed war crimes (ex. Intentionally Killing noncombatants) are tried in military tribunals. Therefore, they should be tried by whichever branch of the armed forces captured them.
hey alan ninja, what was a theory again i forgot

No. I feel this trial is going to last longer than it should and cause more harm than good. It shouldn't last loner than a month, year at most. I feel they are going to get a top notch lawyer and scour the "rule book" for some fucked up loophole that will let them walk free for something he's already openly admitted to doing.
Is calling me young suppose to make me feel bad or something?

yeah which is likely to be paid for by the money they stuck in their ass before they were taken as prisoners in GBay
Is calling me young suppose to make me feel bad or something?
no, it's so you always remember who you are
hey alan ninja, what was a theory again i forgot

2. a proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact.
Any other questions?

Check your government textbook. The government is required to provide a lawyer if someone cannot afford to hire one. Besides, you forget that tey're members of an extremely dedicated organization, which I'm sure can find the money for a lawyer.

Ok, tell me.
What specifically is so shitty about our court system that you think that he'll be let free.
