Bet he'll be killed in prison.
Prisoners aren't treated like shit here in Scandinavia. Which would result less chance of murder. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming on an alt" - Craptasket))
Prisoners aren't treated like shit here in Scandinavia. Which would result less chance of murder.
Justified killing in this asshole's case.
"What's this? Night Elves?! Must be some dastardly terrorist plot!"
He actually played a human female mage, and he was a creepy guy. http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1172957888?page=1 This just goes to prove my theory that people who use the :d, :D, XD and ;D smileys are either female or not right in the head.
Justified killing in this asshole's case.
This doesn't happen in Norway, or Sweden, or Denmark or anywhere else in Scandinavia. Our prison system is for rehabilitation, not so the gangs can be put in a place where they can kill/rape each other off. (I'm not implying Breivik can be rehabilitated)
as much of a horrible person this guy is, at least he wont be in a prison system that encourages repeat offenders
Knights Templar
WHAT HAVE THEY DONE NOW?
I read somewhere that his maximum sentence would be 25 years.
Per person most likely.
Per person most likely.
the way it works is, that doesn't mean he'll released in 25 years what happens is, at the end of 25 years, some dudes look at him and judge whether or not he is fit for society. if he is, coolio, he is free. if not, he spends another 25 years there until he's normal. it's actually quite effective since it means you still get a fair punishment, but not so much so that they're punishing someone who could still be a good person
Honestly the best thing they can do is treat him with humanity, and prove that his words are hollow. All you do when you condemn a man like that to death is show you feared him, whether for his actions or his words. Put him and prison and ignore his existence, there's nothing worse for people like him than to be ignored and left feeling completely powerless. They keep checking for parole with him and he keeps failing, it will happen with him as well.

[editline]17th April 2012[/editline] Never mind, just read through the thread, it seems it really is him. Surreal

He seems like a pretty chill guy from his posts. Would have loved to have been buds with him.
It looks like he had some similar ideas back then as well. :v:
He started becoming right-extremist when he was 15. He was a troubled child, the child-services wanted to move him away from his home but didn't. As Gievær puts it, he's playing a game with the entire judicial system. One of the judges asked a question that got a little to close for Breiviks comfort and Breivik shot him down with: "I can tell you how it was like on M/S Thorbjørn.", which was the boat that carried him onto the island. He just threatened the guy there by basically saying he would graphically retell the story infront of the victims and families of the victims, which in turn would enrage the general public. Or so he thinks.
He looks so creepy, creeps me out.

I liked it, he seems like he'd have made a good dedicated raider in a strong English guild with good co-ordination and sensible policies. Perhaps even as a GM or officer himself.
he is my hero (User was permabanned for this post ("Alt of perma'd user" - Orkel))
He has to be some sort of level of insane to not even shed a emotional face movement when the victims were read out.
he killed less people than you would in the first level of a call of duty game
he is my hero
Im sorry, but you should go jump off a cliff or something if what you're saying is true
The guy has pretty much brainwashed himself with extreme rightwing hatred. He removed himself from reality, and instead shaped a reality where his country was under attack and he felt the need to act. It's quite similar to what religious extremists do before they stage some form of terrorist attack. He's not insane, because he actually believes that he did the right thing. He's a completely normal, sane, intelligent man who obsessed so much over politics that he brainwashed himself with the hatred that he surrounded himself with.
I read somewhere that his maximum sentence would be 25 years.
Maximum sentence in Norway is 21 years. Although I believe they are trying to change it specifically for his case.
Maximum sentence in Norway is 21 years. Although I believe they are trying to change it specifically for his case.
The longest sentence possible normally is 21 years, but after you've been sitting there for that long they can give you another period of time. Basically you could end up sitting in for all your life, we dont call it 'lifetime' because its not really a sentence at first.
Anti Muslims tend to be more stupid and insane than Muslim extremists.
the fuck are you on about it's just extremists in general are insane

Is there a way to watch this testimony in some way or have an update on it by day? I don't in any way condone his actions but I do find his defense rather interesting and definitively worth reading what he's trying to say. Im an american atheist who embraces multiculturalism because I feel it can help advance the world, I would just like to understand his stance. Anyone else interested in it?! Self Defense seems like a pleas that can give him a lot of giveaway when describing himself in court I think. He's fucked regardless though, cant go killing 77 people and think your getting away with it. WHY IS THERE 3 THREADS of THE SAME TOPIC? I posted this in all three because I only assume some of these are getting locked....

I mean god, if I were anywhere near as crazy as him I'd almost find his manipulative nature entertaining.
Just like Hitler
pretty much, I think it would be very interesting to have a talk with either of them

I think he's in this so much, that he thinks that the judges will agree with him and then go arrest the filthy multiculti's instead.
