Sonic has been on PC since the late 90s and most major Sonic games except for Sonic Boom and Lost World (those were partnership deals with Nintendo, hell Lost World saw Nintendo oversee some aspects of the development) have been on the PC in the past few years.
Sonic Adventure - released in 2003 (console version released in 1999)
Sonic Adventure 2 - released 10+ years later with the release of "HD" version on consoles.
Sonic Heroes - released in 2004 (console version: 2003)
Shadow the Hedgehog - never
Sonic 06 - never (but was planned)
Sonic Unleashed - never
Sonic 4: Episode I/II - released but... should we count them? It's mostly a remake of Sonic 1/2.
Sonic Colors - never
Sonic Generations - released on pc
Sonic Lost World - nintendo exclusive
Sonic Boom - nintendo exclusive (originally was planned to be released on xbox, playstation and pc)
So... 4 (4.5)/12... not something I would describe as "most". The only big recent Sonic game released on PC is Sonic Generations, if we don't count generations, adventure 2 and sonic 4 then last time we saw main-series game on PC is 2004.
Is it really Sega Sammy Holdings?
Please just do more ports Sega. You saw the numbers start making it happen.
Shenmue series on PC plz
I'd end up pre-ordering the limited steam whateverthefuck edition and instead of avenging my father's death I'd waste away at the arcade playing Space Harrier.
Probably for the best.
Keep making arcade hardware please

You also forgot others such as the Sonic 3 & Knuckles Collection that had a PC version with updated soundtrack in 1997.
You also have forgotten Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (which had PC-exclusive characters such as Team Fortress, Football Manager and Shogun vehicles), Sonic CD 2011.
In 2000, Sega, with Activision, published many Megadrive games for PC, such as Sonic 1, 3D Blast and 2, which were later added on Steam. Sonic Mega Collection Plus in 2007 also re-packed ALL games. Sonic Riders also came to PC in 2006.
Your list only really contains the ''basic'' ones, but Sonic has been on PC for quite a long time.
EDIT: Also Sonic 4 are NOT remakes, they are new games INSPIRED by the originals, but they are therefore considered different and new.

Also Sonic R. That was another Sonic game on the PC.

I don't really see how officially released emulator with limited selection of roms can be counted as fully featured game release. We're able to emulate genesis/megadrive without any problems since late 90's and let's be honest we don't even need to pay for this.
But yes, you're right - I've only counted main canon games starting with Sonic Adventure because of the simple logic: if people will have to choose between, for example, All-Stars Racing and Unleashed to be on PC they will prefer Unleashed. Just because it's in the main series.

Considered by who? I've seen a lot of people in Sonic fandom who share the same opinion:
Episode 1 - They took levels from Sonic 1/2, changed them a bit and added modern graphics. That's it.
Episode 2 - Well.. yea, it's something new but still heavily inspired by previous classic games and nowhere near being on the same level as them.
By your logic, most sequels are remakes.

Well it still is a game, that's like saying we're able to emulate Sonic Heroes and other PS2/Gamecube games for a few years and ''we don't need to pay for this''.
That is like complaining CODs are always the same with some different layouts or re-imagined maps, it still counts as a whole game. The point is not being on the same level as the original, but it was obviously inspired. I am considering this from a logical point, not fanbase point. If we ever consider fanbase opinions then pretty much Rockstar's only want to murder the devs :v:
