Well if you look at the photo, they aren't actually posing for the camera. They are talking over the dead guy while the other one takes a picture of the scene for reference.

The guy on the left wouldn't leaning as if he's trying to be in the photo while the left dude is smiling at the body.
I could care less about this incident. They were just posing in front of bound people.
However, I find this fucking disgusting instead:
If he was leaning in at all, he is doing so to look at something or get closer to the guy he is talking to. The other guy is looking at the body but he's not really smiling, just the angle his face is on. The camera doesn't even appear to be pointing at them unless the camera guy is a midget and just appears to be of similar perspective height to the other two.

Israeli Soldiers Accused Of Abusing Palestinian Corpses
HOD HASHARON, ISRAEL - NOVEMBER 19: A front page article in the Israeli daily newspaper ?Yedioth Ahronoth? shows an Israeli soldier posing with the body of a Palestinian gunman November 19, 2004 at a newsstand in the central Israeli town of Hod Hasharon. IDF chief of staff Moshe Ya`alon ordered Military Police to probe allegations that soldiers abused bodies of Palestinian militants after the allegations were published in the Yedioth Ahronoth's weekend supplement.

Context really doesn't matter.
Well there are a few things the context is good for. 1. It was the body of a Palestinian gunman. 2. The military police investigated into the abuse of the corpse. 3. It's from 2004.
I would love to find the original article but I don't speak Hebrew so it's all google translate and incomplete english website. Not even sure they would keep articles from 2004 online.
Whatever those 2 images were, this type of thing is everything BUT rare.
Soldiers do this all the time, in any war. From the goddamn WW1 to current ones. They do it to take those pictures back home as sort of 'souvenirs'. It may sound fucked up to you but to many people it doesn't. If it's a civilian that they accidentally/deliberately shot then yes it IS fucked up imo. But if it's an enemy that you killed yourself you would feel proud, you managed to take him down before he could. You're obviously not familiar with that feeling you get when the life of another lays in your hands.
It's quite hard to actually explain.
But on topic I do think taking pictures with a bunch of hostages/innocent people for shits and giggles is beyond pathetic and disgusting.
Star, promise me not to spark an argument here.
You're ITN and you're scared that I might start a debate?

I hadn't thought of that. She probably just feels victorious for nailing a bad guy, or words to that effect - I doubt she's a sadist.
Not that that justifies the action.

NSFW Lynch of IDF soldiers and Palestinians abusing the bodies.

I won't say this is common just because of 1 or 2 instances, in contrary to starpluck's assessment that such immoral behavior is somehow prominent among IDF soldiers.
Lol saw it coming.
ohadje's justification is to show an Islamophobic video where a mob lynched IDF soldiers.
I didn't justify shit. I was saying that such things exist in all places at times of war and they are rare among Israelis.
And I can't see how it is islamophobic.

Wait, what. Islamophobic? when did he said anything about being Islamophobic?
What you show, starpluck, are 2 incidents that happen in every army in the world. Soldiers getting caught with that kind of stuff get severely punished in ANY army, as they should. But you can't say that it's suddenly extra-wrong when it's being done by Israeli soldiers. I don't support anything that they did, but you seem to generalize incidents to the entire army.
The written doctrine shows the nature of a system, not an individual that follows it.

Then why post something irrelevant? Divert the attention? Also, it's Islamophobic at it's core, watch the end of the video.

Also this is the kind of thing you would expect from compulsory conscription, it just ends up a bunch of dumb teens that shouldn't be there in the first place.
Interesting, it appears it's common and happens everyday.
Eden Aberjil struck a defensive tone in a pair of radio interviews, claiming that she did not do anything wrong and that similar things take place "every day" in the army.
If it happens every day then why did they make such a fuss about it just now?
Because she got caught...
Also this is the kind of thing you would expect from compulsory conscription, it just ends up a bunch of dumb teens that shouldn't be there in the first place.
Yeah but without it half of the people won't serve in the army, and that means a lot to Israel.

I see photos of people from the army and sometimes who have already finished serving all the time on FB, but I've never seen them doing something even close to this (most of the photos are taking in the base or somewhere like that, not in what could be a battle field).
