Wow, Activision makes EA look like a bunch of saints.
When approached by the LA Times for comment on the allegation that West and Zampella had flown up to Redwood to meet with EA, EA spokesman Jeff Brown responded:
"We don't have the time to comment on the many lawsuits Activision files against its employees and creative partners."
I want to shake jeff browns hand.
He is awesome.
Well this should get interesting
Seriously Activision is the fucking Emperor Palpatine of the Video Game Industry. EA is Darth Vader, they're evil too but at least they fucking TRY to look like that care about the quality of games and not just the bottom line.
Well that's a little ironic coming from them.
The CoD series seems to have crashed and burned, not gone out in the way i imagined it to. Personally i stopped playing CoD after WaW but i still recognised that it had almost a cult following. Many MW2 players are being ignorant to what's happening and are choosing to just keep playing instead of caring about Activision's almost totalitarian policy of rounding up any enemies and punishing them. People need to wake up from their MW2 induced slumber and stop their ignorance. Activision will only sto this when they get a new CEO or if the public stop being their little bitches and realise that they're getting ripped off left right an center.
And CoD will butcher it. The reason no great Vietnam games have been made is because it was an awful war with a lot of cultural aspects involved. CoD will just make a bunch of over dramatic and mildy racist scenes portraying the Viet Cong as idiotic and barbaric soldiers, while the Americans are the big brauny heros of the story.
If the CoD storylines were turned into movies, they'd be B-movies with lots of criticism.
The only way to bypass this is to make it MP only as with BF Vietnam.
uhh
what the hell is Activision doing. Like really what the hell, firing everyone, then filing lawsuits on their asses.
good job, keep on going
We should really ignore these fighting kids.
EA's being the cool guy again.
As I read the last lines of the article update, I started to think that Activision is the new internet tough guy.
Haha, oh the memories. I remember the time when I tried out this demo (Vietcong, or the one made by EA, don't remember) where you are just going along with your squad, watching as one dies in a trap. Then you arrive at a village, these civilians come all being like "hello amerikka, no rebels here, we not bad, no no no" and then spontanelously one of them pulls out a grenade and everything goes to hell.

They ruined CnC, I will never forgive them for that.
Activison fighting EA is like two zombies fighting each other for who gets to kill the market first.

I'm sorry, but any game that lets you blast Surfin' Bird out of your speakers while you drive a tank at 40 down a fucking road in the middle of Vietnam blasting your way through millions of Vietnamese is awesome.
