I don't understand how with today GPSs, radars, sonars and god knows what else can a ship of this class ever run onto a reef. How is it fucking possible? Was the whole crew drunk? Did ALL their equipment fail?

It's not a tanker. It's a container ship. It hit a reef and its leaking heavy oil fuel. All large ships carry this fuel on their hull. There's really no way around it unless we run off sails again. Or allow commercial ships to use nuclear.
