• Microsoft Launches No-Holds Barred Anti-Google Campaign

Another one, this time aimed at Gmail: It really says something about Google that they're allowing Microsoft to host this smear campaign on a Google run site. Also: Hotmail does exactly what they're complaining about.
Like banning Microsoft from YouTube.
I'd settle for a four second clip of snoop dogg dressed in the "google guy" outfit saying "I ain't even mad"
It's read only, completely useless. And Google sucks at consistency, they try to do everything, support it while it's hyped, and then abandon it for very long periods of time. And long standing criticism are almost never addressed. Google also has been having ALLOT of internal conflict in the past few years, their last CEO stepped down out of frustration with the cofounders, who many describe as children and irresponsible. Their former CEO warned them that Chromebooks and Google+ would be failures, and they ended up worse than expected (as in adoption/sales/people caring).
lmao google's consistency is like apple when compared to fucking microsoft
I'd settle for a four second clip of snoop dogg dressed in the "google guy" outfit saying "I ain't even mad"
Wouldn't banning it give it more publicity and make it a bigger deal than it is?
Hello, my name is David and I'm the IT administrator for a small to medium enterprise. When I'm required to provision and tailor a particular solution to the company, I ignore any sort of cost-benefit analysis, and base my decisions on advertising in the same way that someone selects a brand of toilet cleaner. If the boss asks "Hey dave, for what reason should we commit this amount of money to rolling this out", I'll just smile. And show him this 2 minute advertisement.
The proper way to do things. Using one of my documents, "Proposal.doc". - Proposal.doc is edited on a workplace or home computer (with either MS Office or LibreOffice) and saved to Dropbox. - Proposal.doc is then copied to two or three other drive-based locations (such as the workplace network storage, your phone if it supports USB storage, your flash drive) - Proposal.doc is then uploaded to Google Docs. I prefer not having the document converted in case of certain formatting not being saved properly but either way is acceptable. Benefits: - At home/work/school, thanks to Dropbox, I will have the latest version of Proposal.doc available to me assuming normal circumstances. - But say I'm on the bus and realize I need to correct a fatal error in Proposal.doc. It's on my phone, which has an office suite installed on it (thank you modern technology), so I can make the edit there, then upload to Dropbox. - In another situation, I'm not at my usual computer (eliminating Dropbox) and I don't have access to my physical backups (forgot flash drive, phone battery's dead, etc). Google Docs saves the day - I can download the file onto the computer I'm on and use that office suite, or in the rare case where said computer doesn't HAVE an office suite installed, I can edit right there on Google Docs (but it might not be pretty).
Did you know that you can log into dropbox from a browser then download all/any your files you've saved to dropbox? This kills the Google Docs.
Did you know that you can log into dropbox from a browser then download all/any your files you've saved to dropbox? This kills the Google Docs.
However, you cannot UPLOAD to dropbox from any PC, which is where Docs is useful.
However, you cannot UPLOAD to dropbox from any PC, which is where Docs is useful.
Yes you can? However, you do need the editing software and stuff like that.
You're late to the party, MS

I do kind of think you are missing the huge demographic of people that use Word but don't know how/can't be assed to use Google docs. I mean most people just want it to work, and be something they are familiar with.
I just had to grab an image of that.
Did you know that you can log into dropbox from a browser then download all/any your files you've saved to dropbox? This kills the Google Docs.
A few things: - In my case, Dropbox is blocked at school because it's a file hosting site. - In a more general case, I might not be at a computer that has an office suite installed. I probably wouldn't have the ability to install LibreOffice in that case, so Google Docs is my editor. - The more places you have a document, the better.

Most likely just MS having some fun. Many companies have done that before.
I would have bought it if Steve Ballmer said it...
I think this* is not realy Microsoft commercial. I am a high school student and I do know that this is just wrong. It must be a kind of parody. I liked this video because it is nicely done and actors are good. Microsoft would not create something like this to have an international shame.
What a true genius! (twas a youtube comment)
I fucking hate word processors and spreadsheet programs, and I use Google Docs. It appears to have the least fucking buttons and other bullshit all over the place so I feel like I can do what I want without having to learn how to use the thing. I hate cluttered interfaces that take more than an instant of thought to figure out how to use. I'm like an 80 year old grandmother when it comes to GUIs, the fewer buttons the better. And I hate this video because I hate corporations, and I hate their views on software. The executive portrayed in the video seemed like she was stuck in the 80s and doesn't have a clue about anything post Windows 95.
Open office is free, lets all get Open office.

I wish there weren't so many dick weeds who jerk off to .doc files and let me get some text editing action on.
augh, so one sided and mud slinging it's sick it's funny because Bing actually copied off Google pretty seriously once, I can smell the butthurt from a thousand miles away.
Open office is free, lets all get Open office.
Libro office is pretty awesome too free and WAY better than MSOffice.

Still though - these ads really pissed me off. Despite all the "omguhd MiCro$hittt!" retards, one of the reasons I liked microsoft is they were generous in their charity work and generally stayed away from the stupid childish shit google and apple do. Now they're doing it too though...

The commercials are funny but stupidly biased considering they basically joke about themselves. Google is meant to get the best results as fast as even possible, that's exactly how a search engine should be.

It's improved a lot from when it launched, which then and before with Windows Live Search and MSN Search were actually awful. Now it's fine. Bing also gives you the best results as fast as possible:
Microsoft make me laugh.
generally stayed away from the stupid childish shit google and apple do.
microsoft wrote the book on taking out the competition. they took out dozens of the other companies and they almost took out apple
Oh god That's hilarious. That commercial is fucking amazing. And has anyone else noticed this is a parody, so that's why its silly.
I wonder if it is just a coincidence that I was just forced to upgrade my IE and now Google isn't working? Edit: Fuckit. Switching to Firefox. GG Microsoft.
I wonder if it is just a coincidence that I was just forced to upgrade my IE and now Google isn't working? Edit: Fuckit. Switching to Firefox. GG Microsoft.
IE isn't a forced upgrade, and Google is working fine for me in IE.
