It fucking better be mafia 3.
Reading up a bit, they went back on the whole idea of having it be 5 games? Huh, ok. So Irrational wanted Infinite to be the last, 2K did not. You learn something new every day.
Whether or not Ken wishes for Infinite to be the last one is kind of a moot point, given that 2K still owns the IP, and given that Infinite exposed the franchise to near-infinite potential for settings and whatnot, there is ample opportunity for 2K to make a new BioShock story arc and expand on the formula. And if they do, hopefully the formula is closer to BioShock 2 than Infinite, whilst still incorporating some of Infinite's better mechanics. Ideally they'd retain the Plasmid mechanics from 2, along with the multiple weapons with alternate ammo, though I think the Shields mechanic can stay too, since it added a bit more defensive complexity as well as enabling a bit of leeway without entirely scrapping health pickups. Lockpicking a'la Burial At Sea Part 2 is probably welcome to return as well.
With Mafia, I much preferred the 2nd one, and the story (as cut-and-dry as it was) felt like I was watching a movie. I wasn't angry at the amount of cutscenes or anything like that, since they all mattered as opposed to something along the lines of 'we need to pad this out' and it was more 'this is your motivation for continuing playing'
Civilization 6 confirmed.
On one hand it's been 5 years since Civ 5, but on the other hand Beyond Earth came out in October last year and they announced the first expansion very recently. So yeah, my money's still on either XCOM or BioShock Next, if 2K Marin is still working on the new title, though with that in mind it's barely been a year since Marin was put at the helm so it'll probably be at least another year, hopefully at least 2, before BioShock Next hits the shelves. So E3 2016 might be when we see BioShock Next.
I hope it's XCOM. I want to see what became of the Volunteer. *Apparently, they didn't die.
I'd like to see another Mafia game, albeit with less cut content and shit you can actually do in the city. Even gangsters do shit in their free time.
Bioshock Infinite was shit imo. It's like they sacrificed fun gameplay for an overly confusing storyline that you have to google when you've completed the game.
What did they fucking sacrifice? The gameplay is friggin amazing. Infinite is one of those games that got so popular that people *Cough*Hipsters*Cough* started hating it just because it was so popular. It's even more retarded that the hate is still going on even after all this time.
I know it's not gonna happen but a Mafia game on a similar scale of GTA5 would be GOTY for me.

how about something that's not another sequel?
Mafia 3 in the mid-late 60's. Please 2K.
how about something that's not another sequel?
I'm perfectly fine with having a sequel as long as it's actually a good one

I want mafia III.
Mafia 2 had some good segments. Although it felt restricted, and the world felt a little empty. The go-to go here fetch missions became horrifically dull. The story and characters were spot on, the shooting was wonderful, and it ran smooth as butter.
I think a new Mafia game is due. Maybe taking place from the 70's to the 90's?
I would like to see one taking place between 70s and 90s Italy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Mafia_War
Borderlands Classic: Remastered, baby With fleshed-out skill trees, better graphics and control feel, and more General Knoxx
At this stage, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Borderlands 3 or some bullshit like that. Hopefully the fact that Burch isn't involved anymore means that whatever it is won't be a shabbily-written slop.
Who writes the Brothers in Arms series for Gearbox? They seem decent, although I don't know if they'd make a good fit

The great exploration of 1 and 2 was replaced with almost nothing, maybe a plaza of buildings here or there. The worst part were the battles, I don't know how many times I saw a big walled off arena and immediately knew "Oh great, I have to kill all the enemies here for the door to open." Infinite sucked as a sequel, I've been vocal of this since day one. At least Bioshock 2 kept the fun stuff from the first game and expanded upon it. :v:

What's sad to me is how underutilized the skyrail thingies turned out to be Go back and watch the 2011 gameplay vid, that footage looked amazing
Anybody with an ounce of critical thinking skills could have figured out the ending.
the ending was totally unexpected for me but I figured it out right after finishing it because I'm not a massive knuckle dragging idiot I kinda liked it all in all really
Man, I think you guys are exaggerating the awfulness of Infinite's gameplay. Or maybe it's just cause I haven't played the earlier entries. I enjoyed Infinite's gameplay through and through. I never once found it boring or anything of the sort. Maybe in a comparison context Infinite's gameplay was awful but I think otherwise you guys are exaggerating a bit... you make it sound like it just straight up had awful gameplay. Perhaps I'm just simple when it comes to games
Bioshock Infinite's ending just "Oh, okay, I guess I beat the game" for me.
I played Bioshock Infinite twice, one time playing normally, the second just going through trying to use only the sky-hook and finding everything. The ending really didn't surprise as much as I hoped for though.
Borderlands? XCOM? Mafia? Some new title? I'm interested. This E3 is gonna be a blast to watch.
Play them then and you'll understand
Bioshock 1 isn't as good as people make it out to be but it still is a classic and solid game overall and bioshock 2 isn't as good as one, but it still lives up to the quality
