They didn't have excellent teeth health they had fair teeth health not great but not bad either.
I have the urge to buy zombini a title after reading his terrifying post
And the fear of dentists is perpetuated!
But seriously so many of them are shit, last time I went to a dentist I got a giant hematoma on my cheek and it left half of my face droopy for a couple of years. I'm damn lucky it went back to normal though.
but god damn, I hope that dentist loses his license.
gee whiz do i regret googling that
How the fuck does a 3 year old need 4 root canals and 10 fillings? I'm 19, rarely go to the dentist and all I've ever needed done is one root canal and two fillings
They could have been infected requiring the root canals. Maybe she had medication as a baby, heavy doses of it, which is caused to basically make your teeth absolutely shit. 10 Fillings seems odd, 4 root canals, maybe not. An infected tooth can not only be the most painful thing ever, the infection can travel to your brain and kill you

From personal experience having my wisdom teeth out was the worst surgery I ever had, I can't even imagine having an infection in your mouth!
Still, I find it hard to believe that she could have gotten this bad teeth even if she didn't brush and chugged coke daily for the 3 years that she has been alive.
I didn't even take care of my teeth properly when I was a kid and I didn't have to go to the dentist until I was around 10 :v:

I keep hearing this, but to me, having my wisdom teeth taken out was just:
A) Go to hospital
B) Lay down, they stab anesthesia in to your jaws
C) 10 minutes later you're in a chair, they cut open your gums, break out your teeth, and send you on your way.
You're done in less than 20 minutes and don't feel a thing.
Chewing gum, cures all ailments tooth-wise. But yeah, i haven't touched a toothbrush for actual tooth usage in over 10 years.
I don't exactly have the best dental hygiene, but chewing gum is not a substitute for a toothbrush. there are plenty of other reasons to brush your teeth than to prevent cavities
but man, at least brush like once a week or something. even I try to do once a day in the morning (usually when I'm not running too late)
I've been trying to get myself into the habit of brushing but I keep fucking forgetting to do it.
It drives me nuts, too. I'll be all fine and then remember that I just strolled out of the bathroom earlier and get all paranoid about my breath, pretty much ruining my day from that point on. One would imagine that would help me remember, but it doesn't.
Fuck dentists. I would rather have my teeth fall on their own.
During the middle ages in Northern Europe they had great teeth. This is because their diet lacked sugar.
No sugar but they ground all their wheat with rough stones and since bread was pretty much staple to their diet there was a whole tonne of stone bits in the bread, grinding down their teeth while they chewed. That's why even the Egyptians had nasty fucking teeth despite being ancient masters of dentistry.

Advice for the future, if it ends in -oma, tends to be a cancer.
Sarcoma, melanoma, meningioma, lymphoma and so on.
Hematoma isn't, and I'm an idiot.

One example of a bad dentist (by which I mean grossly incompetent) doesn't mean all dentists are bad. Hell, my current dentist is the nicest guy ever, and is insanely good too.
its not even the fillings or the root canals here that make me fucking mad. how fucking stupid do you have to be to give the MAXIMUM DOSE of FIVE DRUGS to a THREE YEAR OLD
like seriously, I'd be surprised if the dentist wasn't suffering from some sort of brain death to be this absolutely retarded
Mind you, this is merely reported, not verified. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one drug and four carriers for instance which is sometimes done to dillute a dosage.

Hematoma is not cancer. It's blood outside the vessels inside the body.

Argh shite, my bad. hemaningioma is the tumour.

My current dentist filled a filling AND took out a baby tooth which would wreck my gums all under 10 minutes.
How the fuck does a 3 year old need a root canal

My current one is amazing too, first appointment with him he asked why I'd never gotten braces when I was younger (Since my teeth ended up all misaligned), turned out I needed them badly a decade ago and he was the first dentist to pick up on that fact.
Now I need my jaw broken and rewired, but that isn't going to happen any time soon.
I've been chugging coke for the last 9 years and haven't brushed, my teeth are holding up fine oddly enough.
...gross. You absolutely sure about that?
In this thread we learn about the disgusting brushing habits (and lack there of) of fpers. Seriously, some of you need to brush your teeth.
Teeth are weird. My dental care regime is admittedly terrible, the most i manage usually is some mouthwash in the morning. But at 24 i have never needed any dental treatment, at all. I visit my dentist every 6 months for a check up (have all my life) and the hygienist always congratulates me for taking good care of my mouth, and inside I'm thinking 'lol jokes on you'.
I know someone who is exactly opposite, brushes twice a day but still seems to need a route canal every 2 months.
I've been trying to get myself into the habit of brushing but I keep fucking forgetting to do it.
do you not have any sort of getting-ready-for-bed routine? i.e. shutting down your computer, changing into pyjamas etc. if you really want to get into the "habit" then start setting yourself a little routine in the morning and in the evening. if you shower in the morning then just grab your toothbrush, paste it up and take it on in there with you - it's good fun when you can dribble everywhere and get super clean teeth at the same time. and as for night time, do you have to pee before you go to bed? if so then make a really big effort to just brush your teeth whilst you're in the bathroom, and hopefully soon enough it'll start becoming something you'll automatically go to do, your future dental health would be pleased!
This is a scary story to read, when I'm gonna be getting a root canal soon.
root canals when you're NOT under the age of 10 are fairly simple because they only require local anesthesia and not "put you to sleep" anesthesia. i mean, it's a long time in the chair (you're looking at about 3-4 hours for the first stage of the root canal) but otherwise you'll be alright
the most i manage usually is some mouthwash in the morning. But at 24 i have never needed any dental treatment, at all.
you're very lucky that it's working out well for you so far, but that's really gross dude. mouthwash won't even get any mechanical removal working, yuck. and you're 24? i don't really think you have much of an excuse - "it's currently working out well for me" isn't always going to work.
if you shower in the morning then just grab your toothbrush, paste it up and take it on in there with you !
this is fucking smart, i'm gonna start doing this

if i forget to brush my teeth in the morning or at night, it feels like someones taken a dump in my mouth.

That's pretty much the best way to make sure you never forget it. And you can spit everywhere! (Only do this if you shower alone, spitting contests are all fun and games until you get it in your eye)
if i forget to brush my teeth in the morning or at night, it feels like someones taken a dump in my mouth.
I'm okay with forgetting to brush at night OCCASIONALLY (I TRY not to, but if I'm really drunk or tired sometimes I either forget or alternatively I'm plain like, "fuck it,") but I can't stand to leave the house after waking without brushing.
I really doubt her teeth problems were due to bad oral care. Most likely some sort of condition. A healthy child with no matter how bad diet cannot possibly get 4 root canals and 10 fillings by the age of 3
nah trust me, it's 100% possible, and will most likely happen if the child eats lots of sweets/drinks soda and has neglective parents
speaking out of experience here.
Still, I find it hard to believe that she could have gotten this bad teeth even if she didn't brush and chugged coke daily for the 3 years that she has been alive.
I've been chugging coke, and not brushing the proper two times a day, for 20 years. No cavities nothing. Don't think she really had such bad teeth.
