That must be traumatizing needing to live with the fact that you severed your own daughters ankles with a lawnmower
Plus being names Ireland, that girl has a tough life in front of her.

In all honesty though. I really hope she makes a speedy recovery, hopefully its not a super big traumatic thing for her when she's older.

Fucking lawnmowers. . .can't turn your back on 'em. Give 'em an inch, and they'll take a foot.

Luckily you can get some pretty awesome prosthetic feet these days.
Poor girl though.
She gets prosthetic feet, right?
Put rockets in them so she can fly.
The fact that that is the first thing you think of is hilarious.
it was an accident moron

I will give you a chance. I heavily disagree and doubt that he intended to do this and the like, but please explain intelligently how he is a douchebag.
My job for the past three years has been a groundskeeper at a retirement village, so I spend a lot of my time one a mower/operating equipment. First of all, before anyone operates any machinery he or she should understand what he or she is operating and how to operate it.. safely! Second, (and I am not,) if you are a parent learn to watch your kids. A child is a living being, so at least do your duty as a pro-creator to watch after and take care of the life you have brought into this world. Yes accidents do happen that are out of anyone's control, but harming your kid to this degree can hardly be considered an accident. Yes I know sometimes really bad things can happen that are unavoidable and out of anyone's control, like vehicle accidents and other gruesome events. But this is something that could had been easily avoided by keeping the kid inside supervised by her mom, and by having the father keep his eyes and ears open while operating dangerous equipment. That being said, I hope everyone can learn from this mistake by Ireland's parents, and I hope that people can educate themselves for the sake of their children's future and well-being.
Aaandd this is why you lock your childrens in the house while mowing.
When I was a kid, my mom, granny and granny's land lord prohibited me from leaving the house or grandmas trailer while any of them were mowing.
On several occasions I was glad they did. The push mower and riding mower we had would fling even tiny rocks at such velocities that they would break glass and dent metal/wood. But the land lord had a brush hog powered by a 150 hp engine that would launch projectiles that would make holes the size of 10 gauge shotgun slugs in small trees and obliterate the metal siding on my grandmas trailer.
But getting ran over was a possibility too.
Be glad you have parents wise enough to raise you safely. I agree with their methods. You can never be too safe, at least with young children's lives.
Pretty awful, but as far as losing limbs goes nixing both feet below the ankle is about as clean as it gets. Better than your hands, at least!

The ban was probably the funniest thing about this post, because the rest of it was just weird as fuck.
