Syrian opposition told to expect strikes 'within days'

war war never changes...
Even if the US intervenes, who are they helping.
For as far I have heard, the rebels are splintered groups, and there are many people amongst them that are way worse then Assad....
Even if US helps, who says that those groups won't fight each other next over who controls syria?
Medics don't stop anyone from actually harming anyone, only reduces the chances of those who are already victims dying. Medicine and doctors will only get you so far; not quell or stop instant fatalities.
Bombers and missiles outwardly cause fatalites.
"Oh no, don't worry, this tomahawk is uhh.. filled with uhh.. medicine and friendship!"
Let the broadest shoulders carry the heaviest load. The US are not the only ones who are going to fight. They weren't in Libya. They weren't in Afghanistan. They weren't in Iraq. They weren't in the Balkans. Both France and the UK are already within striking distance and ready and willing, and several sources say Denmark have prepared our F-16s for moving. The reason I refer to the US is size and firepower. Denmark is mobilizing all we got available, but all we got available is still only 6 light strike aircraft, because Denmark is fuckin' Denmark and kinda tiny; with no carriers or airbases in the area to operate from, so we have to borrow facilities from; you guessed it; most likely the US. The well-being of the people all over the globe is not the US's responsibility, it's everyone's responsibility. US just happens to have the hard tools to enforce the international laws much more so than anyone else.
I don't think the NATO World Police is a bad thing, either. I think Iraq was a bad thing, and Afghanistan is kinda stuck in the mud; but if you look at stuff like Libya or the Balkans, world policing in the form of precision bombing while you let local forces do the ground fighting has been hugely effective at stopping genocides and assorted war crimes, and both of those places are on the rise without the need of a heavy, expensive NATO presence for 20 years to come.
Alright, you do have a very good point. Something like this is everyone's responsibility to stop, because it is wrong and it will spread to other crackpot jackasses who think it's okay to kill thousands of people. I just wanted to get what I said off my chest and I used your two comments as an example of how the "let's take a shit on America!" train starts. I don't want it to seem like I'm calling you out or anything, just sort of using what you said as a vehicle and to give what I said some context.

They are helping the civilians maybe? If they just strike certain targets they are not necessarily taking sides.

I would say the US will do Israel a huge favor. Maybe Israel decides to expand.

"Certain target" is most likely military command and control units. If that isn't taking sides, i dont know...

Its not taking sides, its punishing those who commit massive warcrimes.

Except it is taking sides because we're striking them before we get confirmation on who did it. I don't trust the American Intelligence's opinion here, I want to see what the UN Investigators have to say.
Reminder that:
FSA is in bed with al-Qaeda:

^This one is questionable though.
I wonder if somebody is polishing their B-2 right now.
Pfft. Syria still has an air force. We would never say we're going to strike you, and then send B-2's. They're so expensive we're afraid to use them as it is
Besides, our entire stockpile of cruise missiles cost one third of one B-2

Syria has Mig-29SMT's, they should be afraid of his defences, to a point.

Apparently they are britnam leaks. However I'm not so sure if it is legitimate, since there are no credible sources I can find.
