Why do these north-European countries always sound so damn perfect ?
Immigration control. Something America lacks. And I think we all know what damage the lack of it did to the US. *Looks at every state that is South, Southwest, West, and Northwest of New York*
How the heck do you even feel male or female?
It's hard to explain to someone who isn't actually trans. Think about it this way. Imagine you had your current brain, however you had the opposite gender's body. Maybe for a little bit, you'd find it amusing in a sort of sexual fashion, but after time it would get old, because it's not your body. It's someone else's body and you're just trapped in it. You aren't the proper exterior sex to match your gender, and it gets dysphoric and uncomfortable. That's what it's like for transgender people, to a point. It's a bit more complex than that, but honestly, it's complicated.
This is a transgirl, not an intersex person. Read the original article please. Also; most trans people say they always knew or at least were always unsure (including myself)
You feel more comfortable in the roles and positions of females, and associate more closely on an emotional level with females than you do males. Or vice versa. They may not necessarily understand it or really know what it means, but they can determine it.
Apparently the kid looks very girly, so it's possible that other kids just started to pick on him and made fun of him because he looked like a girl, which made him believe he is indeed a female trapped in a male body. [editline]12th January 2012[/editline] I've seen enough kids being absolutely sure that because they had dark skin, they were dumber than usual because everyone told them so, and kids with glasses thinking they were over-intelligent, because people told them so, to have a doubt on this case.

As said, many kids can determine their gender identities at an incredibly young age.
That is an incredible leap you are trying to make there. As said, many kids can determine their gender identities at an incredibly young age.
And a lot of kids can get really easily influenced by everyone around too.
And a lot of kids can get really easily influenced by everyone around too.
Why is it so damned hard for you to grasp that the kid is most likely a genuinely transgender child?
Why is it so damned hard for you to grasp that the kid is most likely a genuinely transgender child?
It's just too big to accept that there's a 90% chance that this seven years old kid who looks like a girl just KNOWS he's a transgender and is absolutely assured of it to the point he wants to join the girl scouts and behave like a girl at an age you barely even know what's the actual use of your genitalia. Just looking at his age, you can tell the chances he actually is and will stay a transgender are pretty damn small. There are a lot of kids who think they know themselves perfectly before suddenly shifting behavior and character and pretty much everything else through puberty, if not all of them. People who say "I always knew I was this" and who actually always knew are extremely rare (most of them say that because they can't remember when they figured it out, so they just assume they "always knew it") and I don't think that one girly kid who wants to join the girl scouts certainly is one of these persons.
Why do these north-European countries always sound so damn perfect ?
http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/Venturing.aspx Pretty much the same thing as what he's saying.
Fucking hell, do you understand any of what you're talking about?
Yes I do, and calm down, it's just my opinion.
I hate how she says "Transgendered boys" in her videos. It's incredibly rude and pretty much an insult (to most) to refer a transgendered person by their biological sex.
is it?
Yes I do, and calm down, it's just my opinion.
Your opinion goes against factually backed studies. One of which was cited to you earlier in this thread.
Isn't the whole concept of Girl/Boy Scouts inherently pretty sexist? Making boys do macho shit and girls sell cookies and stuff, there should just be one Scouts group and the kids get to choose what they want to do or something
I hate how she says "Transgendered boys" in her videos. It's incredibly rude and pretty much an insult (to most) to refer a transgendered person by their biological sex.
You know, if transgenders do react like this, I think they should really calm down and realize transgenders are strange, unusual and most importantly WEIRD to any person who doesn't have a habit of talking to/about them. You just don't know how to talk to someone with a "psychological" sex that doesn't match his biological when there are really only two ways allowed by grammar to call a human being - him or her, and yet it sounds like transgenders expect from everyone to perfectly know how to talk to someone that is so unsettling and strange for anyone who feels fine with his own sex, just like everyone on the entire planet could know how to talk to such people. If you are different, you shouldn't consider yourself as having some sort of privilege of getting angry at people because they do a mistake when calling you, just like if it was on purpose when pretty much all the time, it really isn't. You have to deal with it and correct them politely, like anyone else would do if someone made a mistake about them. Do I get upset when someone calls me "gifted" when I just have good learning capacities ? No I don't, I ignore it or I correct them, but I certainly don't get offended. Do I flip my shit out when someone asks me if I play world of warcraft because I wear glasses ? Nope. Do I punch someone in the face because they think I'm gay, after I said I never went out with a girl ? Guess what, I don't. Being different != not having to do some concessions when having social contacts.
Still, it's a obvious hateful attack on the person to completely ignore their feelings on the matter.
and how the fuck do I know their feelings on the matter ? If he looks like a man, I call him he, if he looks like a woman, I call him she, I won't go around and ask every androgynous person around if they are transgender just to make sure if I ever talk to them I won't do a mistake that will make them flip out [editline]12th January 2012[/editline] I usually don't assume every girly person on earth is a transgender, you see

yeah except what you were actually arguing was against zeldy saying it's offensive to call transgirls transguys etc. which is not the same
yeah except what you were actually arguing was against zeldy saying it's offensive to call transgirls transguys etc. which is not the same
My mistake
strange, boy scouts just taught me to tie knots and do soap box races
My troop had us go skiing and sightseeing. Hell I went inside the statue of liberty. Depends on the troop I guess, they vary quite a lot.
puts her in a lose-lose situation, its kind of like the thing warren buffet is doing with his donations for every donation the GOP makes, just a little backwards
No, I was saying... Warren Buffet matching donations is something that is tangible - easy to track. You can't measure how many biscuits won't be sold due to this, so you couldn't have people making donations to counteract the lack of sales.
I wanna see her say this to the transgender's face, and see if she has the balls. It's easy to talk shit like this when you're not seeing how it affects people.
Well somebody in that conversation is going to have balls.

Your post makes out that you think she just goes "kay I'm a girl now"
