"Probabilistic approximation of data" is pretty much the norm for all storage standards these days, so calling flash problematic relative to other storage mediums is moot.
Mechanical drives do the same thing.

Mechanical drives do not have this kind of problem at this scale. Flash drives are by far worse then hard drives.
The issue with hard drives is that they are way more sensitive to vibration etc and tend to break a lot quicker if not handled properly
Ignore what I asked about flash drives being unreliable in relation to that corrupt game installer.
I just remembered that I put my flash drive through at least 10 wash and dry cycles after leaving it in my pants pocket. :v:
