"deployed tear gas in neighborhoods and yards!!" the horror
Did he just kkthxbye and walk away from 99999 questions in a fraction of a second? I take it that is normal since he did it so naturally?
Politics deal with questions they don't want to answer or don't have the time to answer a lot. Every press conference (sports or politics) has this.

Even though Bassem Masri is being overzealous, he's probably right that they shouldn't be throwing tear gas into residential areas.
It's amazing how many people are wearing dust masks that don't protect their eyes expecting them to protect them from tear gas.
Who the fuck brought out the war drum?
I'm going to say this as the OP of this thread: We dont need a play-by-play of the riots ("protests") This entire page so far is nothing but "teargas is being used"
This is exactly like the boston bombing thread where it was page after page of "THEY JUST SAID _____ ON THE RADIO". I hate it.
This Bassem Masri guy is such an instigator. He's constantly trying to get people more riled up.
"deployed tear gas in neighborhoods and yards!!" the horror
to be fair it is a valid concern dry yard+teargas pyro = fire
Did he just kkthxbye and walk away from 99999 questions in a fraction of a second? I take it that is normal since he did it so naturally?
He just wanted to make a statement and that's it and even though this is effecting a lot of the country, I'm sure the President of the United States has better things to attend to rather than stay up till 1 in the morning answering questions about something he only wanted to briefly address.
Any and all legitimacy held by the protests is now completely and utterly moot. The very real importance of Ferguson died the very second the protests started over a criminal getting legally shot to death by a cop.
did you pay any attention to how the police handled the protests?
Any and all legitimacy held by the protests is now completely and utterly moot. The very real importance of Ferguson died the very second the protests started over a criminal getting legally shot to death by a cop.
The problem with this argument is the fact that at the time of shooting, the individual officer couldn't have really known 100% that that had been the case. But yes, the protests aren't helping their cause in the least bit.
This is exactly like the boston bombing thread where it was page after page of "THEY JUST SAID _____ ON THE RADIO".
snip Nothing makes me angrier than people defending a subject that they know literally nothing about.
Sorry, but your friend is a fucking moron.
Nothing makes me angrier than people defending a subject that they know literally nothing about.
People believe the mass media or their "friends" (not meaning you btw) too easy without independently gathering information themselves.
Someone just got kidnapped???
Yea. I did. And I thought it was pretty heavy handed at first. Now I realize that obviously it's warranted because the community of Ferguson can't take news without imploding.
...alright then, pal
Yea. I did. And I thought it was pretty heavy handed at first. Now I realize that obviously it's warranted because the community of Ferguson can't take news without imploding.
Back in our day you and I were at each others throats over this.

Imagine throwing rocks at cops and wondering why you get tear gassed
Surprised to see so much support for wilson in fp I'm really disappointed by the trial, the guy didn't even get indicted. What really scares me is the upcoming riots though
I'm really disappointed by the trial, the guy didn't even get indicted.
No indictment means there wasn't enough evidence for a crime to convict him, a trial would have been a waste of time and money.
Wait was it a police officer that got put in a van? i heard he got seperated..
Surprised to see so much support for wilson in fp I'm really disappointed by the trial, the guy didn't even get indicted. What really scares me is the upcoming riots though
Because people here looked over the information that demonstrated outside of witness accounts that Wilson was dealing with a criminal who most certainly isn't a child.
Yes. Yes we were. I did more research and came to the conclusion that while there were serious issues with the police, and the justice system as a whole, Ferguson wasn't a really good example.
the real unrest didn't happen until after the protest and media suppression though which is probably one of the most crucial parts
CNN just got cleared out by tear gas.
Yea. I did. And I thought it was pretty heavy handed at first. Now I realize that obviously it's warranted because the community of Ferguson can't take news without imploding.
I'm enjoying how you seem to think that some rioters - several from out of the area on literal violence tourism - are the "entire community of Ferguson." I'm not even remotely disappointed with the news that Wilson wasn't charged, but it's unrealistic to think that Ferguson, as a whole, is out burning buildings and flipping cop cars. It's a group of angry, passionate individuals. You don't seem to think there is any issue with police discrimination and you seem to focus solely on the most negative of the negative surrounding the issue without recognizing the very real and very important dialogue that Ferguson has opened up. Yes, the rioters are idiotic, nobody's disagreeing. No, that does not discount the opportunity for dialogue that has been highlighted after events like Ferguson and Trayvon Martin. You cannot discount the opinions of people who have researched and paid attention to this case just because some people are rioting. This is solely an issue of racial discrimination, and anybody who gives half a shit about the court case or the ensuing drama isn't paying attention to the actual issues - they're masturbating on spectacle.
damn cnn just got tear gassed right infront of the police station.
