I'm really hoping that media outlets get the shit sued out of them if anything goes down. They need to learn theirs a time and place to keep your goddamn mouth shut, and stop stoking a fire for money.
A lot of the preliminary evidence is hinting that Wilson wasn't guilty, and that Brown had just robbed a store and a bunch of other stuff. People keep latching on to the trial when it's totally unimportant news drama on top of justified racial unrest.
Source?
Everything I've seen indicated there was no way Darren Wilson could possibly have known he'd had an altercation at the store.
By the way:

Yeah, I hope Wilson gets a fucking convoy of MRAPs getting him out of Ferg. He's a dead man if any of these retards get their hands on him.
I'm firefighter who will be potentially responding to the area depending on the outcome. It's not going be a pretty sight.
Good luck, mate!
I personally feel that it's unjust to not take this to trial. I mean, he killed a kid. Race aside, if it were anybody else, there would be a trial, but because he's a cop it's alright. Regardless of Brown's background, a headshot at close range was not necessary from a professional who should know how to properly aim a firearm, and could have easily taken shots below the waist.
I just want to know why the majority of facepunch users seem to want to see Wilson not get indicted?
This case was made a total shit show and overblown by the media and populace. May it rest in pepperoni as a fine example of what happens when reporters try to solve a case with no evidence nor information and instead use current situations and sensationalism as definitive answers to a problem. This could have been a simple case of whether or not a police officer made a mistake in shooting a child, but instead became a story of the reincarnation of Jesus being shot by the evil police forces that oppress everyone. The sole fact that the court hearing has to be kept hush hush and the final result has been prepared for so that innocent people can be protected is disgusting.
Just because some black kid got shot by a white man doesn't mean the government and police force is attempting to systematically oppress anyone. No one in this investigation is a criminal until proven guilty, which hasn't happened. The only criminals here are those who use this unfinished investigation as validation for rioting and violence.
Best of luck to anyone living there.
The character assassination has gone both ways, though. Conservative news outlets praise Wilson, liberal ones praise Brown. It doesn't matter who was in the right or who was in the wrong - like you said, the case should have been a simple one.
The issue is racial unrest due to systematic oppression. It might not be conscious, and I'm sure the Ferguson PD isn't full of people donning pointy white hats, but it's an absolute fact that impoverished blacks are unjustly targeted at a much higher rate than any other demographic. I was raised in a town with a large, poor black population and a lot of rich white doctors, and I've seen this automatic, unconscious police reaction. Three white kids in a car late at night? Sure, tail light's out, have a nice day. Two black kids and two white kids? Step out of the vehicle. It's profiling and it's incredibly frustrating to deal with. There are absolutely issues in that regard - if there weren't, there would be no riots and black people across the country wouldn't be rising up in sympathy and outrage.

Also, never trust someone who has a Facebook/Twitter account with the word "rebel(s)" in it.

Shoulda just shot him in the leg, right?
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Good luck and Godspeed to any of you in the area.

That's my point - everyone's searching for ways to assassinate the other character. Wilson's a racist, Brown's a thief - none of it matters, because the issue isn't the trial, it's the undeniable racial profiling that people are finally sick of.
Also, I do feel sorry for the people that have to fight against the rioters and risk their lives doing it. I hope that everyone remains safe during those times.

Yeah cause shooting him in the leg or groin woulda been so much better. Not to mention the hopefully obvious fact that getting shot in either the legs or the groin is just as likely to be as lethal as a shot the torso there's the added fact that whoever you shot is still up and likely still coming at you and is now fighting for their life since they've been shot.

this dumb "cops should just shoot people in the knees" thing again? fuck off. police officers are trained to shoot center mass .

Do some research before you talk, okay
I haven't been keeping up the protests, how bad have protests been in Ferguson since the incident first happened?

It's really hard to kill people usually, but bullets are fucking designed to get past this little problem :v:
They turn something that could take a fucking ramming from a bull and turn it into a blood balloon.
Fuck you think rioters would at least be smart enough to not break their own shit but the mob is as the mob does.
isn't there a metric shitton of people traveling in from other areas
in the first few days of this whole incident, weren't there a bunch of people who got caught trying to break into stores and shit who were (mostly?) from out of town? Like, residents were actually taking shifts guarding storefronts after they got broken in

not sure how things have changed since the early days since the news is all over the place but the one thing I keep seeing is that the community is trying to protect itself from what I can only describe as violence tourism

Yes why didn't he just shoot him in the leg? :v:
Big dumb American let's meet to watch St. Louis burn. On a srs note riots please don't come to st Charles area.
Update: At 4:15 central time there will be a news conference where the decision will be read.
Following the reading, the Brown family is asking for 4.5 minutes of silence for the 4.5 minutes his body laid in the street.

He didn't kill a kid, he killed an 18 year old who was in full control of his actions. Stop trying to make it sound like he shot a 13 year old to death, and stop trying to act like his bullets would've been even slightly less lethal if they had gone into his lower body.
Why is it a thing in America that half of the country are preparing to watch a city tear itself apart over the results of a trial?
Yes why didn't he just shoot him in the leg? :v:
Yeah, pop goes the kneecap. Because police officers work exactly like in fallout, neat pause that lets you aim.

Today is going to be a very interesting day to say the least

Notice the :v: it was sarcasm and a pop at all the people who say that in these threads
Ugh guys, I know it was sarcasm, I kinda wanted to expand it.
Joke's on you though, you missed my sarcasm.

Brown was 18. Definitely not a kid.

There's a lot of conflicting witness reports, tons of character assassination on both sides, and plenty of made-up evidence.
Just wait until the trial to see what is actually counted as evidence - everything's incredibly conflicted right now and "picking a side" is stupid.

I got a new idea for a law... Make it a felony to riot in cities you are not from.
