I had the problem, removed the youtube app and it's fixed
I just use a massive hosts file, and adblock to change the layout of websites. Works a charm.
chrome is bad
I wouldn't use adblock if the ads weren't so terrible. I was on YouTube on edge the other day and an ad played right in the middle of my video like wtf
<snip I am dumb>
That's funny. I am using ABP on Firefox and I have not had a single ad play.
It sure is funny how a chromium bug doesn't affect a browser that doesn't use chromium.
The thing happens when you have chrome installed on windows 10 and it has the YouTube app. If you uninstall the YouTube app, it should work just fine.
no because ads are put on regionally
Detect region of viewer, append ad, display vid?
Detect region of viewer, append ad, display vid?
If its part of the video, the entire video needs to be rerendered for each ad. That's incredibly inefficient. Considering there are hundreds of different possible ads, what your asking is approaching impossible.
