I'm banned from MW2, will I be able to play multiplayer?
Yes, since the developer is Treyarch.

Probably not, VAC bans are on a game per game basis (except for Valve games, banned on one Valve game is banned on all).

You don't get banned from all Valve games if you're banned on one.
You don't get banned from all Valve games if you're banned on one.
You get banned from the engine the game runs on.
If you get banned from a game in the Orange Box, you can't play anything from the Orange Box online. If you get banned from something older such as TF:C you can't play HL online, or any other GoldSrc game.
You don't get banned from all Valve games if you're banned on one.
*All valve games that use the same engine, so If you are banned in css, you are also vac banned in tf2, sorry, my mistake.
Fallout New Vegas: £25, with £10 off for a gift voucher is £16 (P+P) - Main campaign is between 20 - 30 hours long, and there's about 100 hours of side missions
Call of Duty Black ops: £40 - main campaign is between 3 -4 hours long, and there's unbalanced multiplayer for another maybe 20 hours?
I think i'll pass. It does have mod support though, so we might get some awfully made zombie mods like in cod4
A multilayer you have yet to play
Are you kidding me?
Danish Kroner, not Swedish or Norwegian. (Can't remember what country it was)
Yea, I realized that after I posted. I just instantly thought you were from Sweden since you used kr. Then I thought "Oh, maybe hes from Denmark, Norway?" Checked you page and crap, you were from Denmark.
I can't tell you how stupid I felt, oh well.
Well since this uses dedicated servers at least I'll consider buying.
Of course, looking at the price I decided against it. I'd rather save that money up and get BC: Vietnam and Portal 2.
Fuck you Steam. A short as hell campaign with a most likely unsatisfying multiplayer, all for $60? Bullshit. Waste of money. There's no packaging, so there should be at least $10 knocked off of the price.
Not Steam's fault. Steam doesn't set the price, publishers do.
I'll let you guess who's fault it really is.
looks cool

probably wont buy it though

Tick...tock. :ninja:
Only if it's on sale and they unfucked what Infinity Ward fucked.

How the hell is MW2 still 60 fucking bucks?
Who the hell buys steamworks games off of steam???

I'm getting it as a birthday present from my folks and they aren't steam users so...
I love all the hate that Call of Duty gets on facepunch. While raging e-nerds are spending their time bitching and moaning on an internet forum and tossing boxes and disagrees around, I'll be playing Black-Ops with my friends and having a good time.

A invisible dildo
Strange, I'm pretty sure they banned by CD key, not engine, because I have an account that has the CS1: Anthology on it, as well as the Half Life games (Blue Shift, TF:C, etc), and when I got banned in CS, I got banned in CS:CZ as well (both part of the same CD key for the anthology), but not Half Life Deathmatch, or TF:C.

the thing is that the same people bitching about how "omg fucking sheeple playing CoD it sux play a real game" also have the latest CoD game and are playing it as well.
I've changed my mind for some reason and decided I'm gonna buy it - but not from steam.
I'm still miffed that Activision still have their labeling since they're the publishers, and they get (presumably) most of the dosh, I don't think they've got much of a say in how the game is meant to be... I hope.

wow
no thanks
Not buying it seems like a reasonable alternative.
I'll get retail for half of that nothankyou steam

It doesn't work that way, no.
VAC bans by engine, so if you're banned from MW2 it's IW4 games only (MW2), CS:S you get banned from all Source games, etc
