Gay couple arrested for kissing outside Mormon church

Both parties are at fault.
The church is tax-exempt so they should have let them kiss and then leave.
But, they were asked to leave, so I think they should have just left, but this depends on how much they were doing.
Uhhh
Don't you just love misleading thread titles and news stories?
"BREAKING NEWS! A GUY KISSES ANOTHER GUY ON THE CHEEK, THE EVIL SECURITY GUARD ARRESTS THEM ON THE SPOT"
Reality: A couple of drunk guys are groping on private property, they don't leave after being asked to, they resist and cuss out said secutiy guard and then get arrested under trespassing/being a douche to others in public charges.
Even if the above (groping, tresspassing) didn't exactly happen :20bux: says that the 100 people protest is protesting for some gay guys who got drunk and brought themselves into a situation on purpose.
Seriously, I highly doubt this has anything to do with the church being against gay people or something like that (newsflash, most security guards are hired seperate from the organization that hires them...).
Who said they were groping?
No, they didn't destroy anything. They were kissing, your straw man doesn't hold water.
You are really missing the point here.
To the people who were at the temple to enjoy a spiritual time, a gay couple making out and refusing to leave the temple property was like someone stomping on their faces.
Anyways, I'm so conflicted here. Usually I'd be raging about how backwards and retarded conservatives are, but really, they were perfectly within their rights, and this couple was just being rude without any real point.
If going onto temple property and making out was going to change the churches views on homosexuality, then sure, I'd be cheering these guys on, but it's not, it's just senseless.
BAWW.
If they're that homophobic, they deserve to have their faces stomped on.
Churches have security guards? Is that normal in big cities?

Please help me find the point, because if you have seen Religulous you would know Bill Maher was kicked off church grounds for filming only. Absolutely they were within their rights for asking them to leave. But I have to give the gay couple props for standing their ground and making the political point.
Further more, the role the Mormon church played in funding prop 8 in California makes them fair game... At least IMO.
Religulous was an awesome movie.
And I agree that the Mormon church should be stripped of its tax-exempt status.

That's old testament, jesus says that's not valid.
BUT IF YOU DON'T STUDY THE ENTIRE BIBLE YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!
I love the way fundies pick and choose bits of the Old Testament to apply to the modern world.
Yeah Mormons are stupid hurf durf Christianity is for stupid sheep fags.
But am I the only one who thinks this is retarded since it could of been avoided in the first place and it was entirely valid?
I would call the cops and have them hauled off if gay men where making out and crawling all over each other on my drive way.
What?
You're saying that they didn't have a right to show affection for each other?
It's just because homosexuals have the need to show off that they're gay - ''hurf druf im gay you cantnt tuch me lol''. If they are to be treated as equals, they must act like equals.

Its private property and the same rules apply for everyone, they where trying to provoke or "troll" them to get supporters.'
Example: Black man breaks into store, cops arrive and arrest Black Man. Black Man sues and says its racist that they arrested him because hes black, it don't make any sense

Yeah I hate Gay Priders too.
The loudest ones are the minority.
The loudest ones are the minority.
Yeah, but every community is judged by their idiots.
Which I don't agree with.

tax exemption status
if i'm paying for them, then i should have the right to basic human rights
so if i'm making out with a gay guy, my fucking money says i can

No they weren't, you dolt.
And your fucking analogy makes no sense.
Exactly.
Either allow equal rights or remove the Mormon church's tax-exempt status.

Actually, it's the opposite. Sorry.
“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV)
"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)
"Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God." (2 Peter 20-21 NAB)
Oh.

Depends on how you look or believe. This story sounds fishy and I'm more inclined to believe that they where drunk and being whiny and inappropriate. But meh

Because there are no gay couples that are sober and don't have their dicks out mastrubating.
Are you twelve or have you just never seen gay people before?
Which is why no news outlets mentioned that...
That's hot
