because canadians arent american
but usually they get included in the umbrella of american musical artists i mean justin bieber isn't getting world music or foreign artist grammy's
jesus fucking christ i like dubstep, leave it alone so i can keep liking it
I hear that he's doing a death metal album next.
Oh god. All I am gonna say. I am not the biggest fan of dubstep myself but I do like Mt. Eden a lot, don't really like skrillex though. But to each his own.
isn't that more of a unloading maneuver? there's nothing particularly housy in Skrillex. brostep seems to be a good descriptor.
nah, he's definitely electro-house

great example of a nice melodic dubstep track [editline]5th December 2011[/editline]
Your avatar, name, and post screams weaboo.
Your name, avatar, and post screams idiot. Anime avatar != weaboo. Fuck he doesn't even have an anime avatar, if he did it's by far not weaboo shit. I don't see how sHiBaN can be labeled as weaboo as a name.
Heh, I don't ever remember dubstep being this popular two.. Maybe three years ago. To me it just seems like some whole kinda "phase" thing.
I could easily say that deathmetal was just a load of people assaulting guitars and making grunting noises
WARNING TO HEADPHONE USERS Should be renamed to what dubstep sound like.
Should be renamed to what dubstep sound like.
listens to deadmau5 complains about dubstep
What is your guys problem? This is obviously high quality music.
families full of midgets can make VERY nice dubstep

Musical elitism: the movie. I, for the life of me cannot understand why some of you people think that listening to different types of music makes you a better person. Any time there's a thread like this some person will rip on the music because he doesn't like it, then he'll leave the thread and never respond again to the people who disagree with him and prove him wrong. Any time this elitism comes up it's quickly dismissed and they wait for the next opportunity to repeat the process. Just stop already, shouldn't everyone understand at this point that music is subjective? Who the hell cares if Justin Bieber is experimenting with a new genre, in what way or form is his music directly hurting you? It's just music for Christ's sake stop taking it so seriously. I don't care if you listen to dubstep, metal, house, idm, noise, pop etc. as long as it makes the person happy it shouldn't matter.
Who the hell cares if Justin Bieber is experimenting with a new genre
uhm, i care. it's really exploitative and morally wrong. you can say i shouldn't care because it doesn't affect me but neither does violence in somalia or seal clubbing. by your moral code would that mean i shouldn't care about that either?
listens to deadmau5 complains about dubstep
I don't really like 4x4=12
Why can't people just listen to the music they like?
Because people don't need to enjoy music any more, it's better to be a sheep and follow a group. :v: [editline]6th December 2011[/editline] Also I really don't see why this is news since nobody is eager to get his next album.
These rave assholes are so late here in the US its not even funny The scene started in Asia, Japan to be specific. DECADES ago. If you're a rave asshole today and you listen to dubstep and all that I feel bad for you man. Unfortunately, lots of people in their late teens/early twenties are so into that today, it's just so aggravating. Go to college to seek some insight and conversation about philosophy, all I get are the next rave date [editline]lol[/editline] Don't get me wrong, I'm being broad here. Obviously there are good dubstep artists out there, its just those rave wannabes that can't talk music without spewing all about dubstep. It's one thing to be interested but pushing your interests is another
lol you're demeaning people heavily because your interest is disliking tem apparently
I love reading this thread, I haven't laughed this much for reals on a forum in a while.
Dubstep killed off a lot of my favorite songs with their terrible remixes. I'm sorry, but I don't like Dubstep and that's my own damn opinion. We all have our own musical preferences, waging a war against people that don't like Dubstep by rating them boxes won't do anything.
Wub wub wub wub wub brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Most dubstep music I hear is uncreative. While there is some good 'dubstep' music I enjoy, the majority of it that I hear I can't stand. Ratings bandwagons are cool. This gets 40x agrees and this gets dumbs
strum strum strum struuuuum
All my rage. Different people like different stuff, have you ever heard of that concept?
Wait, are people really taking this thread seriously? Don't be butthurt.
Skrillex is a bad example of dubstep to be honest, even the dubstep community dislike him.
I like his music, I don't see why people don't, it sounds good (to me and probably a lot of people (definitely a lot of people)) and that in itself takes a lot of skill to procure

there are some dubstep tracks that are very well done, but for the most part the majority of the fanbase are idiotic and think too deeply of themselves
I love how Facepunch hates when people generalize groups of people then we get shit like in this thread. Stay classy Facepunch.
i hate most facepunchers probably about 97% of them

This is a guy who gets it, this is a guy who understands why trying to enforce objective thinking and draining all of the internet of opinion and emotion is a bad idea. The internet would not be fun with out it. It's funny seeing a comment get a sea of ratings, and all the puns and fucked up comments. Can you imagine a forum like this: "I like A" "I like B" "I respect your opinion" That'd be a boring forum, and it'd be dead.
One day The Bieber sat down and said "Now how can I make it worse." After hours of listening to techno and crappy autotuned songs, he found a certain noise he just couldn't place. *WUB WUB WUB WUB DDDRRRRRRRRRR WUB WUB DRRRR WUB WUB DRRRR swsch swsch swsch DDDRRRRR WUB WUB DRRR* "I Love this idea." The Bieber exclaimed, turned on his autotune and started brainstorming what ways he could exploit his new idea.
The only time dubstep is good is when it's used as a 20 second bridge in the middle of actual music.
Speaking of dubstep, i really like this one. Also Borderlands ftw.
This is more house than dubstep
[editline]a[/editline] Also what the hell does Kanye West have to do with dubstep?
