Okay, well robotic arm would be quite cool to be honest.
But only if I had a reason to get it, like amputation.
I'd rather how most body parts replaced, or upgraded if possible. Mechanics and nano technology are the future of the human race if you ask me.
god damn it will suck when my son reads all my facebook status updates and looks at all my pictures and shit
LOOK AT GRANDPA'S CLOWN SUIT!!!!!!
I'd rather how most body parts replaced, or upgraded if possible. Mechanics and nano technology are the future of the human race if you ask me.
Augmented senses and maybe muscles would be the only upgrades I'd want and need.
Well indestructible bones would be cool too.
Personally I'd want increased strength, agility, brain power, removal of blood to increase my ability to endure, increased sight capacity and many other things.
removal of blood
bye bye penis
or install some pistons in there

And then Linux was Chaos.

It's worth it for immortality, not like I was going to get it any way.
It's worth it for immortality, not like I was going to get it any way.
yeah, what was i thinking
It's worth it for immortality, not like I was going to get it any way.
Immortality would suck.
These predicitons are probably nowhere near what it will actually be.
Immortality would suck.
Only if you're the only one that's immortal.

And this was only attempting to predict 25 years into the future (the poster was made in 1925). 60 years after the predicted date, and we still don't have this stuff.
Immortality would suck.
No worse than death.

They weren't that far off by the looks of that picture.
Immortality would suck.
Why? Sure you'd outlive the rest of your family, but it's better than suddenly blinking out of existence and floating around in some sort of thoughtless void for the rest of eternity.
Why? Sure you'd outlive the rest of your family, but it's better than suddenly blinking out of existence and floating around in some sort of thoughtless void for the rest of eternity.
That's assuming the rest of your family wouldn't be immortal, whats to say they could upgrade themselves as well.
[editline]22nd March 2011[/editline]
And then Linux was Chaos.
Nah linux would be the tau, microsoft would be chaos.
Meh, if the world keeps going in the direction it's going, humans won't be around in 2100. But maybe we'll do a sharp turn in the other direction and it'll all be good :unsmith:
Anyone rich enough to build a space elevator probably wouldn't really bother.
Unless they were suuuuuuuuuuuuper rich.
Why? Sure you'd outlive the rest of your family, but it's better than suddenly blinking out of existence and floating around in some sort of thoughtless void for the rest of eternity.
You'd eventually get bored. Plus, it's not like I'll know that I'm dead.

Microsoft is Tyranids.
1. Internet would be your contact lens. Pretty much what the Matrix movie is about. Would be a worldwide use for artists, tourists, and those who suffer an illness would get an immediate indication.

2. Computers, cell phones, TVs, etc. all that mobile and standard electronics would be in a chip within the environment. We can turn on these chips and control all our electronic uses with the brain.
Probable
3. Cars are driver-less. Cars can fly or be on the road. Traffic and accidents won't happen because cars will be aware of other cars. Radars to avoid objects and people. Solves energy crisis.
Some cars might be driver-less, such as trucks or other transportation vehicles, but people are still going to want to drive.
And cars won't be able to fly, what the fuck. There might be hybrids, tiny helicopters or planes that resemble cars but it won't be the norm, not for another 500 years.
4. Doctors can grow spare parts. Resurrect extinct lifeforms. Zoos will have animals we have never seen before.
Fairly probable I suppose.
5. Life span will be risen. Newborns could be designed to be stronger, smarter, and happier (No more emos anyone?).
Life spans will be longer for sure. As for designing embryos, not gonna happen. Not for the general public, at least.
6. Molecular smart bombs can zap any cancerous cells while circulating our entire blood flow.
Probable.
7. Going to the bathroom is a check up on your body. They can detect 10 years ahead of any tumors. The word tumor will no longer be used in the English language. Even clothing can detect these cancers.
Probable.
8. Robots will dwarf car industries. Would take care of most dangerous tasks and jobs. Most robots would be hidden from view. They would be polite, always help, and have emotions. Become our cooks, musicians, pets, etc.
Yeah, no. Dumb, industrial workers AT BEST.
9. Tourists can soar in space with the space elevator.
Who is gonna finance it? No.
10. Advanced technologies will also bring a lot of problems. Global warming being one of them.
Hopefully, global warming won't be a problem. But we're still gonna be burning fossil fuels.
I read this and got really excited, but then I realized I'll be long dead before any of this happens.
:sigh:
fucking 89ers
Imagine how fucking elite '05ers would be :smug:
Like fuck humans will dress like that in 90-odd years.
What I could see people dressing like is in FFXIII, seems more suitable for near future.

Because fuck you nature
And for number 5, would anyone here agree to modify humans to be perfect?

Before anyone answers, go watch Gattaca.
Glad I'll be rotting in the ground before our world becomes this

I wouldn't rule out the space elevator one, it's a well established theory of how we can build ships in space.

Of course we should, we should not force people to be inferior against their will.
Any prediction of the future is probably terribly wrong. I mean look at the film 2001. Or Back to the future in which flying cars are the norm in 2015. Maybe in 200 years they'll look back at series like Star Trek and games like Mass Effect and laugh about it. Just like we do now with 2001 and back 2 the future.
I cant wait for nanobots. Just imagine no need to work for food or whatever you want just make it in a mater of minutes.
