Pop sci != Real science
Wasn't too far off. I like how they got subways spot on.
Wasn't too far off. I like how they got subways spot on.
They weren't that far off with the whole aircraft landing zones, we just happen to use helicopters and planes instead of zeppelins
And the garages (car parks) [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline] They just didn't expect us to build up (freeways) instead of down.
So if robots take all of the jobs, how are humans supposed to make a living?
So if robots take all of the jobs, how are humans supposed to make a living?
Well after robots take all the jobs all you would have to do is chill back and have a robot make you a sandwich.
Well after robots take all the jobs all you would have to do is chill back and have a robot make you a sandwich.
How can you afford a personal robot if the robots have all the jobs? How can you afford food and resources if there are no, or very limited, jobs? The whole scenario is very sketchy to me and it only makes me more worrisome about the world's future. Sure, advancing technology is great; but to the extent of replacing what makes humans actually function... let's take a step back and thing about the logicality of such a movement.
if we saw a list like this from 1911 we'd laugh hysterically at that bullshit doubt this is different

where's my spaceship?
Interesting, who knows technology is causing Global Warming though.
fuck that shit, i ain't trusting my life to a machine, i can drive my own damn car someone call in Will Smith, we need to end it now [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline] or Sarah Connor, personally i'd prefer Will
8. Robots will dwarf car industries. Would take care of most dangerous tasks and jobs. Most robots would be hidden from view. They would be polite, always help, and have emotions. Become our cooks, musicians, pets, etc.
:q:
Modern Warfare sequel number 2105 - Return of Makarov and Ghost i guess or some bullshit
Fuckable robots. I am 99% sure this will happen. Most of the other claims are pretty baseless, but humans are obsessed with sex, we even have robotic vaginas. I would even go so far as to say there will be a prototype within 10-20 year, and mass produced by 30 years after that.
fuck that shit, i ain't trusting my life to a machine, i can drive my own damn car
Yea I dont need airplanes or machines to help pump my blood or even a calculator for that matter. If I want to fly I will trust my own 2 arms to take me where I need to go.
So I always think how it sucks that I'll be dead by then But if you think about how people a hundred years ago probably thought the same thing about our time, I guess I can be a little :smug: about it
<- Will be dead.
1. Internet would be your contact lens. Pretty much what the Matrix movie is about. Would be a worldwide use for artists, tourists, and those who suffer an illness would get an immediate indication. 2. Computers, cell phones, TVs, etc. all that mobile and standard electronics would be in a chip within the environment. We can turn on these chips and control all our electronic uses with the brain. 3. Cars are driver-less. Cars can fly or be on the road. Traffic and accidents won't happen because cars will be aware of other cars. Radars to avoid objects and people. Solves energy crisis. 4. Doctors can grow spare parts. Resurrect extinct lifeforms. Zoos will have animals we have never seen before. 5. Life span will be risen. Newborns could be designed to be stronger, smarter, and happier (No more emos anyone?). 6. Molecular smart bombs can zap any cancerous cells while circulating our entire blood flow. 7. Going to the bathroom is a check up on your body. They can detect 10 years ahead of any tumors. The word tumor will no longer be used in the English language. Even clothing can detect these cancers. 8. Robots will dwarf car industries. Would take care of most dangerous tasks and jobs. Most robots would be hidden from view. Advanced technologies will also bring a lot of problems. Global warming being one of them.
1. Not gonna happen, would be cool though. 2. Maybe, if they stop making iPhones smaller. 3. If that happens, yes, but most likely, more problems with gas, or smaller iPhones again. 4. Or they will use smartphones to do that, not sure. 5. No shit on higher life span. 6. Nope. 7. Not likely. 8. Maybe 9. No 10. Agreed. 2100 will not be the badass future, it might get worse.
Neat, too bad I'll be dead
Most likely, however there are a few scientists that predict current 20 year olds and younger will sort of catch edge of the age spike where people will start easily living over 100.
Dreadful looking place.
8. Robots will dwarf car industries. Would take care of most dangerous tasks and jobs. Most robots would be hidden from view. but they already creates cares and I have not seen one get angry and kill anyone because someone called it a bucket of bolts or anything. Robots can only have feelings if they are programmed to have them.
No question that the world will be a very different place in the future. Even if these claims turn out to be false.

When interviewed around 300 top scientists they put this life scenario in perspective. 1. Internet would be your contact lens. Pretty much what the Matrix movie is about. The brain is electrical, we already do this in labs. 3. We already do this. 4. We know how to do this. 5. Highly likely, citing biological informational growth. 6. That's too specific, but something will combat cancer, or at least it's a very likely probability. 7. Doubting we'll all be wearing fabric laced with wiring, and there's a ton of science to be explored here. 8. We've said this countless times in the past, but I guess Watson is getting there. 9. Too specific, and a space elevator is a bit un-likely, because of pressure and how huge it'd be to stay standing. 10. This isn't a part of the future, it's part of right now?
