They were left without accommodations for the night.
They didn't seem very upset about it in the article.
You think if we didn't have laws like that, blacks wouldn't have trouble finding places to eat/stay in the South?
I didn't realize that homosexuals had such a bad history with England.
You're impossible.
If you don't want to use an accurate analogy, then we might as well give up on having a good argument about it.
"I don't see why I should change my mind and my beliefs I've held for years just because the government should force it on me.
It's called respect for your fellow man and also none of your business what two men decide to do together, you cunt. If you want to behave that way, then get back in the kitchen and fix my fucking dinner like a woman should.
This woman is going backwards in terms of progression in equality. She should be sued and have her license taken away. It doesn't matter if it is her house, it is her business first. No matter if it is a restaurant or a car wash or a B&B.
Of course she doesn't deserve punishment. It's her bed and breakfast. What is wrong with you people.
Sorry mate I don't like your post count you can't come in my bnb go and sleep on the road. if its a privately owned business, they should always have the choice of their rules whether its racist, homophobic, ect. but sadly I see our freedom of speech coming to an end in the "free" world.
if its a privately owned business, they should always have the choice of their rules whether its racist, homophobic, ect. but sadly I see our freedom of speech coming to an end in the "free" world.
This has nothing to do with free speech
Wow.. This is wrong..
if its a privately owned business, they should always have the choice of their rules whether its racist, homophobic, ect. but sadly I see our freedom of speech coming to an end in the "free" world.
uh those laws appeared, in the U.S. at least, back in the sixties bro. They're not a new thing.
if its a privately owned business, they should always have the choice of their rules whether its racist, homophobic, ect. but sadly I see our freedom of speech coming to an end in the "free" world.
Freedom of speech is not freedom of discrimination.
Wow.. This is wrong..
No it isn't, its her house she can let whoever she wants into the house. At least she was polite about it. Although I find it hilarious that they went to the police afterward which is just stupid.

If they were just guests and not paying customers, it would be fine. However, they are paying customers, and she can't deny them service.
late ninja but... her house, her rules. [editline]12:04PM[/editline] but she didnt accept their money. no problem here.
It's not her fucking house when she's operating it as a business. Imagine it as a hotel. Disregard the house part. It's her business, and under UK law, she can't discriminate against them. [editline]08:09PM[/editline] When she opened her house as a business, she accepted UK business regulations and forfeited her right to deny service to those who her bigoted views dislike. She can refuse to allow them on a social visit, but to deny them business is illegal.
generational thing Even though homophobia is wrong, there are still living fossils who were raised to think that homosexuality is wrong. It's ingrained in their minds & it just needs to be accepted that this is how people were brought up. Wait for the fossil generation to die off, & society is free
It's not like a giant hotel, it's a ladies house she lets people sleep in for money. I want to know how she figured it out though.
Two guys, one bed. Not hard to figure out.
they didnt want any of.... that... on their beds.
they didnt want any of.... that... on their beds.
Any what?
Even if it is her own private house, it is still a business. What, she can tell black people they can't stay there because they are black? No, not if she is making money from it.
Technically, she could.
Freedom of speech is not freedom of discrimination.
Make up your god damn mind already.
Wherever you go, there's always a risk of meeting the worst the country has to offer. Especially in a place you intend to sleep.
I can't believe people like this aren't over gay people yet. They are gay so what?.
Technically, she could.
Not under the laws of the UK.
Okay. The people in this thread really need to learn how to read. Please refer to the previous pages before posting "BUT IT IS HER HOUSE". Thank you. Good day.
As much as you hate her for doing it, you can't stop her. Its her place, she can run it however she wants.
I agree with the owner.
