Concrete is a very porous material, it's full of holes for air to pass through. The smell of rotting body will come through.
Reminds me of the episode of Mythbusters where they triend hiding a pig carcass underneath a concrete sidewalk. I forgot what myth they were actually working on (O think it was what happened to Jimmy Hoffa's body), but they commented on how bad the smell was.
What the fuck?
Why the fuck can't people just get an abortion or even better adopt it away.
Reminds me of that episode of Dexter when [SP] Trinity tries to bury a kid under cement [/SP]
why [/thread]? Because he is of african descent? :colbert:
Black or not, he looks like a nutjob that would do this kind of thing.
Jesus fucking christ.
I hope they find some concrete evidence against the killer.
Yeah, something that will really cement the case against him.
Is there any real difference between the two? Besides, I never hear anyone referring to asphyxiation, they always call it choking or suffocating.
Asphyxiation is when there's a lack of oxygen in the environment, like let's say a gas leak that starves the room of oxygen. Suffocation is when there's something physical blocking the air intake, like putting a pillow over their face or closing their throat shut. You can pretty much just say suffocation for both, though.
The real question here is whether or not he was already dead when they buried him in concrete. I truly hope he wasn't still alive when he was encased in the concrete... Such a fate would truly be a horrific end to something that was just beginning.
God something like that happening is one of my worst fears. :ohdear:
But at least you'd eventually die. Imagine if you stayed alive for an eternity encased in the concrete. Or even worse, imagine being in a constant cycle of suffocating to death from the concrete in your lungs, then resurrecting seconds later only to suffocate once again, in an endless cycle going on and on for all eternity until the concrete is either melted by lava or shattered by an outside force... Such a fate would be one of my worst fears too.

I am speechless, the poor child. :frown:
Congrats now you know what hell you will go to in the after life.
I doubt there's actually an entity that feeds off of the fears of the dead by forcing them to face their greatest fears... The Devil wouldn't work like that; if He existed He wouldn't really have any say in it, since He's stuck in the middle of some massive underground glacier, up to His waist in ice. It's probably just angels in Hell carrying out routine, generic, by-the-book punishments for specific transgressions. No special treatment based on personal fears, just by-the-book zombie mentality carrying out the will of the "Holy" Dictator. And that is IF the afterlife is ruled by a divine tyrant who desires everything to remain constant, and He banished His prodigal son down into some dark under-plane where the spirits of mortal transgressors are punished endlessly. Which I believe it most definitely ISN'T. It's probably just like the real world only everything's distorted/in black and white/shrouded in fog/all of the above. And yes, I do refer to deities with proper nouns, even if they are fictional.
