Good thing we had all these German immigrants move up into Wisconsin over the years, otherwise our beer would suck.
Oh man Im going right by there today for a car show. I'll see if i can get some pictures of it, or at least contribute some cans.
All beer tastes like piss
I remember when I used to think this... Then I grew up.
I'm 19 (drinking age o Canada) and I can confirm that beer tastes like piss.
Provinces regulate drinking age in our great nation. Although 19 is the oldest you have to be it's unfair to say 19 is "the drinking age of canada" Also canadian beer is the best beer. If you can't find a brand you like just do what I do (even if you have found one you like): Just buy a tally of some random beer that looks appealing. I try and make it a goal to buy at least one brand I've never tried before with my regular beer. There's usually a section in the beer store where all the individuals are anyways, they're usually like $5 MAX
ftfy. My state (Michigan) just had a city in it named 'beery city USA' (grand rapids) because in my state we have an explosion of microbrewery's popping up. There are some amazing beers coming out of America, and more specifically Michigan. [editline]2nd August 2013[/editline] Lol. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1199/7463
not 12 percent weak

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1199/7463
No offense, but microbrews are nothing special and they've been around for ages. The explosion in them isn't just in the US either. The important thing to compare though aren't niche brands, but macro brews, since those are an indicator of what people actually drink in general. As to beeradvocate - most people on it are americans so it tensd to be skewed towards amercan brands in terms of scope. With localised european breweries often being exempt.
"Hey guys I'm from europe and everything is better here because euro-trash-master-race!"
Didn't get the memo? Everything us filthy fucking colony peasants have is literally NOTHING compared to what there is in the world!
Beer is an acquired taste. Don't disregard something as your tastes may change too.
Oh great, so I have to suffer through it before I can even begin to enjoy something that's not even good for me.
Oh great, so I have to suffer through it before I can even begin to enjoy something that's not even good for me.
I think I found the 12 year old.
All beer tastes like piss
but you're from ukraine, you only drink vodka [editline]3rd August 2013[/editline]
Oh great, so I have to suffer through it before I can even begin to enjoy something that's not even good for me.
same with coffee [editline]3rd August 2013[/editline] and most other stuff you don't drink and eat before age of 18
Oh great, so I have to suffer through it before I can even begin to enjoy something that's not even good for me.
Guess what? You have to suffer for 99% of the good shit in the world. I also bet you drink soda, and that's arguably worse for you than a nice mug of craft beer at a local brewery.
American beer is shit though Its like a commonly known fact outside of america [editline]3rd August 2013[/editline] Its super weak as well
nah shinerbock is fucking bomb. They way they brew it makes it such a great alcoholic beverage and it's not mass produced like shitty bud light or keystone, bleh. [editline]3rd August 2013[/editline] two of those and i've got a great buzz going on
I think I found the 12 year old.
weird, I thought it was you
Its all about that malt liquor. Ill take a mickeys big mouth over shitty ass light beer anyday.
Root beer is my favourite be-- oh wait
Oh great, so I have to suffer through it before I can even begin to enjoy something that's not even good for me.
Newsflash: your tastes change as you age. And stuff like tart tastes usually appeal to people only after they get older. For some people this happens at an earlier age, for others at a later. So no, you don't suffer trough it to like it, you drink it only after you find out you actually do like it.
weird, I thought it was you
I made my account when I was 11, you do the math.
American beer is shit though Its like a commonly known fact outside of america [editline]3rd August 2013[/editline] Its super weak as well
yeah you think american beer is shit because you idiots only import the shitty factory made stuff get on our level
yeah you think american beer is shit because you idiots only import the shitty factory made stuff get on our level
Why would we? Most of your micros are on the level of our macros and we have a lot of micros as well. Take it this way - you can get a really good beer for 1.20USD here, 1.50-2 for a macro draft and 2+ for a micro. Why pay 10+ for something that will suffer in transportation and even when fresh isn't really that much better than the macros
I genuinely refuse to drink heineken, bud light (except platinum yum), coors lite, miller lite, or any of the other typical brands you find at shitty parties in suburban texas. I mean if I'm already drunk off maybe some Smirnoff (i can handle Shiner too) or vodka/rum/any other type of liquor, I can handle light beer in a game of beer pong, but beyond that it's not my shit, upsets my stomach. The soda example works perfectly. I used to drink sprite religiously. I stopped for a while. I came back to it, and jesus fuck it upsets my stomach and tastes like someone squeezed a lemon into a vat of piss and pressurized it. I can't drink it anymore it tastes so gross. Beer's the same. I can handle light beer, but I'd rather not because it's gross. If you hand me a quality, brewery beer, I'm going to pick it over a cheap handle of vodka any day.

[editline]3rd August 2013[/editline] also my post to stormcharger was just me being silly, he is a friend
You haven't had good beer until you bought locally brewed beer. There's a bunch of breweries in my local area and within my state(Wisconsin).
Since this thread has devolved into beer snobbery, I;m going to give a shout out to all the fantastic Ohio microbrews. Great Lakes Brewing is probably the best known one, and is heaven on the taste buds. If anyone can get their hands on their Christmas Ale, I would recommend it. But good luck finding it outside of the Cleveland area. Also, on the macro level, Blue Moon and Yuengling ain't that bad.
I like Labatt, come at me
people who say beer tastes like shit also have to realise that soda also tastes fucking terrible before you get used to it heres a project, quit drinking soda for a year and drink a can of coke fucking disgusting
I haven't drank soda in like 7 months so remind me to try this in a couple more
