I laughed at the video, not because I'm racist, but how stupidly misplaced and wrong it was. The ignorance, it just, reeks. :v:
I know he is racist and I don't know the validity of the vid, but I didn't see the "Now" ad as racist. Now if she had buck-teeth and went ching chong ching....
racially charged meaning someone is supposed to see an asian woman say shit that offends them because of the conception that the chinese overseas are taking all our jobs. call it yellow peril http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereotypes_of_East_Asians_in_the_Western_world
Anyone who thinks that China or asian countries are taking American jobs is a complete nitwit. China only holds a small percentage of US debt. Unfortunately, as you may already know, racism is still quite rampant.

More than any other foreign body, but nothing compared to the debt owed to things like Social Security.
Why do people stoop so low in these races?
i like how she still has a poorly veiled american accent belittlin my race for mad $$$ NICE
i like how she still has a poorly veiled american accent belittlin my race for mad $$$ NICE
That's what I thought, it must have been really awkward since its clear she's American too!
At least that 2030 dark China future ad had people who could be believed to be Chinese, and not some American girl poorly attempting to be some sneering "enemy".
Let's show those goddamn chinks whose boss. Pete Hoekstra for Senate! He's apparently not content with a schizophrenic mix of bootstraps!, jobs!, debt!, tax cuts!, job creators!
But it's cool when you kinda do it fast and can see the racism unfold
Like a GOP popup book
I'm surprised nobody has called out this commercial for all the Chinese stereotypes.
If you ask me, this seems more racist towards Chinese people with all the gongs and such.
They aren't making fun of China in that video, that are making fun of those old Martial Arts movies.
They aren't making fun of China in that video, that are making fun of those old Martial Arts movies.
I suppose that's true. My mistake.
And it's Jackie Chan, he is making fun of his own movies :v:
So he managed to be racist and call his opponent a commie in the same breath. You know, that's pretty impressive, I didn't think he had the brains to multitask.
But the Chinese aren't communist?
But the Chinese aren't communist?
And Muslims aren't terrorists but what does it mean when a conservative politician refers to Muslims
And Muslims aren't terrorists but what does it mean when a conservative politician refers to Muslims
Deflection, strawman, racist, etc...
And Muslims aren't terrorists but what does it mean when a conservative politician refers to Muslims
Wow I think you're being the racist one here Either that, or grossly misinterpreting politicians
Wow I think you're being the racist one here
brilliant
brilliant
Hey, I'm not the one who thinks everytime a politician says "Muslim" that they actually mean "terrorist" [editline]6th February 2012[/editline] That would be like if everytime I heard "black people" I thought the person meant "criminal"
I don't see the racism. It's stereotypical, sure, but not racist. The ad is ignorant, yes, but not racially charged. the focus isn't the race of the person, it's the place- China. The issue is the movement of US jobs to China. They used an Asian actor, with an accent grounded in reality, in a recognizable and not uncommon setting. When we do this with American politicians, no one cares. "Politician A is causing person B to get gains and is hurting our economy! This rich banking scum completely stereotyped that is person B is bad! Plitician A is bad!" Yet because the focus is Asia, and the actor is Asian, and the stereotypes are typical of an Asian person in reality (the broken English, the rural rice field), it's suddenly offensive?
We are all going to die.
Why in the fuck is the image name "elmo2.png"? THAT IS NOT ELMO. WHAT THE FUCK
