So basically this is a large image of what is going to happen in the future.

wheres the part where we take over the galaxy and replace our arms with railguns?

(Assuming no human intervention)
We all know dolphins will take over the Universe.
Fascinating.
It's sad that it is such a futile wish to want to be there for anything in the future, rather than dying.
If you wanna know more about this sort of stuff at layman's levels then you're better off lookin at the wiki entry
Wow, the one about how in 5,000,000 years it will be impossible to create men due to the death of the Y chromosome is fascinating. I never knew that could happen, we're destined to be extinct no matter what, we have our own biological self destruct switch.

Long before that time I'm sure genetic engineering will be sufficiently advanced to avoid that happening

Definitely, it's just cool that it was bound to happen in first place. Kind of scary really.
Wow, kind of reminds me how trivial we are. All this stuff happens over millions of billions of years, and humans will hardly be able to see any of it happen. What's millions of centuries to us is the blink of an eye for the universe. Kind of makes me hope, or wish, that after death, we can have some sort of back seat to watch all of this happen, and to watch how humanity reacts and stands the test of time. I wanna see how much of this humanity can manage to prevent or work-around. I wanna know if we'll manage to colonize far away planets and just watch all of this happen to our planet.
Wow, imagine that. The day the Earth dies, streamed to huge, distant screens to a race that no longer has a planet.

Unless we can turn ourselves into androids.

We'll probably have space cities by then. And I'll be banging alien chicks :quagmire:

Hopefully when you die you get an epilogue narrated by Ron Perlman

men were possible?

Don't worry, it will be "dead" loooooooooooooooooooooooooong before that.

I just did the math, it equals 23.

The final defeat of the patriarchy.
Its sort of depressing knowing that nothing we do is actually permanent. Everything we have achieved will eventually be gone and there is next to nothing we can do about it.
Though, that's a long way off, so no need to worry about that now.
i like how the "Galactic Empire" part has Darth Vader in the icon

It is more likely we will be replaced by our own creation, electronic lifeforms. Or merge with them to be cyborgs. We will have the technology, we will be able to rebuild ourselves.
All things considered earth is a tough motherfucker.

We'll see. That shit's been 'launching next year!!!' for like 10 years now. I remember I put a message on it when I was 11 or so
lmao, the website is still the exact same design as it was back then

I see nothing wrong with that sentence

I question this. Males have existed in a huge amount of animal species, and all mammal species, for several hundred million years. Why would they suddenly disappear in 5m? There are tremendous evolutionary advantages to having two sexes, as evidenced by the widespread existence of it in the first place. I'm no expert but this claim seemingly defies logic.
edit: It seems the claim is possibly false after all. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-17127617
According to that article there was previously decay in the mammalian Y chromosome but it has come to a halt judging from comparative studies. It seems more likely, then, that a big event in our evolutionary history rendered a lot of genes in the Y chromosome redundant, meaning the previous massive decay was simply a genetic correction that has now been completed. I'm assuming the claim in the OP was based on linear extrapolation of this gene loss, which would be a flawed method and paint an inaccurate picture in this case.

well..in 5 million years.................... you'd still have the same view thx
