Yeah but it was barely an RPG, they just kept dumbing it down as the series went on, ME2 was permissible though due to a generally good mix RPG and shooting elements (if a bit lacking)
I've heard this from quite a few people, and I'm consistently surprised. If we're looking at the mechanics, Mass Effect 3 was MUCH more of an RPG than Mass Effect 2 ever was. I'll agree that most of the choices that did not have something to do with the Genophage or the Quarian/Geth conflict were disappointing, but the inventory system and level-up system were leagues ahead of ME2.
KOTOR 1 is 10 years old!!!!
The Bioware that made that game is not the same Bioware that gave us the ME3 endings and SWTOR. I'd love to believe, but I'm not getting my hopes up after what they've done lately
Only good thing I can think of with this is DICE could do something cool with Battlefront.
Battlefront 3 on Frostbite? Yes please.
i remember seeing a credits comparison of mass effect 1 and 3 and like over half the original team was gone
All because they weren't involved with Mass Effect 3 doesn't mean they still aren't with Bioware, Bioware consists of 3 different dev teams these days, with a staff of 800+ Employees. My point being there still is talent in Bioware.

For me it's not even that it could be horrible if they made Kotor 3, it's that going from Bioware style Kotor 1 to Obsidian style Kotor 2 then back to Bioware style Kotor 3 would be weird as hell

I had that as my wallpaper for quite some time in the past, think that needs to go back up.

Controlled by EA? No please.

Battlefront and Battlefield are practically the same game just two different universes.
360 lightsaber no force
let tales of game's develop KotoR 3
mirror's edge sequel should take place in the star wars universe. a courier delivering space stuff.
star wrsssss

I see it as EA publishes battlefront 3 or we never get it.
shut down the fantastic and well-loved in-house development team when they're months away from a huge release
give the rights to the winner of 'worst company in america' two years in a row

This could either be very good or very bad.
Still though, Battlefront 3 on Frostbite 3?

That 'worst company in america' vote was pretty stupid though. EA is hardly the worst company in America. But internet savvy gamers would think it to be.

Yeah we might get it, but do you really want EA to handle it? Loads of DLC, microtransactions, and dumbing down to "appeal" to CoD players should be expected.

LucasArts hasn't made a genuinely great Star Wars game in a long, long time in my opinion, and as bad as EA can be, I'd trust them to publish a good "core" Star Wars game long before I'd trust Disney to.
Just had a mind blowing idea. EA gets Crytek UK (Formerly Free Radical) to resume development of Battlefront 3. That's the perfect idea! They are the original devs of BFIII.

It's not like LucasArts wanted to kill Battlefront 3.

Everyone in that contest (except maybe EA) know that that poll was the most retarded thing ever.

Those people must be locked in the basement then.
I can't wait to between controlling the Death star at the risk of being corrupted by the power, destroying the Death star, but also all Wookies, or turning all life in the galaxy into cyborgs because something something singularity something transhumanism. Oh, and in all endings the Force is destroyed.

A bunch of people angry at EA on an internet poll doesn't make it true.

the core audience they're trying to pander to hates their guts
kind of important not to send a KKK member to greet the new black neighbors if you plan on being friends with them

The rights would have gone to any large publishing company. Which would do that anyway. And they dumb the games down to CoD since its what the vast majority of gamers want, CoD continually outsells the past game released in its series.
I've liked most of the games EA has published, honestly. Bioware made the ME universe really immersive for me, so I think they could do a star wars RPGish game really well. And DICE making a Battlefront 3 would be neat as well. EA gets a lot of shit but I personally don't think they're that awful at all.
This can turn out really good or really bad.
can't wait for virtual sex simulator and DLC!

At least I know if done by DICE, the game's graphics and SFX will look and sound great. I do hope their use of filters is strictly because that's how they envisioned Battlefield's art style to be and wouldn't move it to Battlefront.
