Be happy that SOMEONE got them. Atleast this gives some hope for battlefront 3.
I was hoping for Empire Commando but now it's gone.
Visceral should make Imperial Commando IMO; it would be appropriately dark, scary and gory. oh and throw in some of those zombie troopers someone posted about earlier
Y'all some cynical motherfuckers. Battlefront 3 and DICE is the best mix we are going to ever get, considering battlefront was basically a Battlefield clone. I'd rather see Obsidian tackle another SWRPG, but honestly the hate for Bioware in the past 4 years has been way overblown and they would still do a pretty good job on it. I'm just waiting for Black Box to make a Star Wars themed Skate / SSX Game really.
Battlefront a Battlefield clone? Bioware make Kotor 3? Do you have any good opinions?
Battlefront a Battlefield clone? Obsidian make a MMO for no reason and Bioware should make Kotor 3? Do you have any good opinions?
Play Battlefront 1 and then 1942 and tell me how similar they are. What Part of my post implied I wanted to see Obsidian make an MMO? I never even mentioned MMOs.
Different game but still I hope Battlefront 3 has these genius lines
SWRPG apparently means MMO now kotor wasn't an RPG everyone go home but seriously, get Obsidian to do KotOR 3, Visceral to do an Imperial Commando type game, and DICE to do Battlefront and goddamn it'd be so goooodd
Different game but still I hope Battlefront 3 has these genius lines
CoD: Star Wars edition?
Play Battlefront 1 and then 1942 and tell me how similar they are. What Part of my post implied I wanted to see Obsidian make an MMO? But I have played them, and both of them for a long time and the Battlefront series has always had this unique feel to it, especially go look at the leaked Battlefront 3 footage, that easily looks like Battlefront because of the game play and nothing like Battlefield.
No more Star Wars games on Steam then.
Battlefront 1 and 1942 feel so similar it's not even funny one is just played in first person mainly
CoD: Star Wars edition?
Its a mod, I've seen it around before. Think its for [del]MW4[/del]CoD4. There was a mix up in the german to english translation so... Dwarf nuts.
Are you trying to say Star Wars died with Empire Strikes Back? What?
I said it died within the beginning of the third movie
Doesn't mean they're not capable of making a good Star Wars game again.
They killed Revan in a shit sidequest
They killed Revan in a shit sidequest
Shhhhhhh that didn't happen.
They killed Revan in a shit sidequest
To be fair, it's unclear whether or not he died. To continue being fair, that was a fucking shitty sidequest.
Really hope DICE makes another Battlefront. Seriously, it is DICE's thing to make games like that.
No, not EA! [editline]6th May 2013[/editline]
To be fair, it's unclear whether or not he died. To continue being fair, that was a fucking shitty sidequest.
On top of that, the book that tried to explain why he was 300+ years in the future did its best to fuck everything else up too. Bioware butchered KOTOR to shoe horn TOR into existence.
Just had a mind blowing idea. EA gets Crytek UK (Formerly Free Radical) to resume development of Battlefront 3. That's the perfect idea! They are the original devs of BFIII.
It depends how many from Free Radical team stayed to make Crytek UK and who left, but fuck me. I didn't think about that until now.
Out of all of the publishers that could have been granted exclusive rights for video games in the franchise, having it go to EA was probably the best possible outcome, realistically. Although they have gotten a lot of negative press recently, they do have a number of very talented studios that, if afforded the risk to do so, could make some great games, and the other obvious choices (Capcom, Ubisoft, SOE, etc.) would probably do things much worse than anything EA will do. I suppose we just have to wait and see, though.
If EA published a Good Battlefront 3 and/or Good Republic Commando 2, that would clear any bad feelings I had for them at that moment, honestly.
so the slaves are being put to work by pissing on star wars until nobody likes the franchises anymore.
I wouldn't mind seeing another Star Wars RTS. Empire at War was great and the space battles were fun as fuck to watch. They even let you control the Death Star.
They made good starwars games as well. Bioware should avoid mutiplayer based games.
As someone who played TOR extensively (and actually liked it!!! wow!!!) I'd say the biggest problems in the game stem from the fact that it's an MMO. With a bit of tweaking, TOR actually could have been a great SP game. The personal stories are the best part.
Only good thing I can think of with this is DICE could do something cool with Battlefront.
Battlefront 3 with BF3's graphics I'll cum in my own eyes
It's not like LucasArts wanted to kill Battlefront 3. Oh wait
I don't get it. So many people wanted it. It would make so much fucking money on the first day alone. Did Lucasarts just hate money or something it makes no sense
I don't get it. So many people wanted it. It would make so much fucking money on the first day alone. Did Lucasarts just hate money or something it makes no sense
As the article mentioned, it was probably a bunch of suits who felt they could climb up the corporate ladder faster if they halved the expenses of the game by not paying the developers for half of its development. It's also entirely possible that they knew nothing about game design and saw the incredibly buggy state the game was in which threw a few red flags in their head to not pay for something they could see wasn't going to get them an instant payoff.
Well, at least it didn't fall into Microsoft's hands.
Battlefield: Star Wars Edition, sounds good right? Wrong. Battlefield: Star Wars - 3 maps! Buy the rest in dlc!
Its a mod, I've seen it around before. Think its for MW4. There was a mix up in the german to english translation so... Dwarf nuts.
mods from the future today
