It works elsewhere in the world, why wouldn't it work here? No one person in the US government has enough power to oppress the people to the point where anyone would need to use their guns to overthrow the government in the first place.
It's more about self defense than overthrowing the government.
gmod_fan77 really just repeated the winning arguments in all threads related to this, I can't understand why these arguments even occur when the outcome is always the same.
She says shit and has no fucking idea what she is talking about.
It's more about self defense than overthrowing the government.
And there's my point again. If guns hadn't become so prolific, you wouldn't need them for self defense in the first place.
And there's my point again. If guns hadn't become so prolific, you wouldn't need them for self defense in the first place.
If anything, it would make things more dangerous. A muscle bound freak could break into any house he wanted without worrying.
Switzerland, for example.
Every able-bodied man in Switzerland is drafted into the military at age 18 (might be 16, one or the other), but they are allowed to stay home in peacetime, only returning annually to complete refresher courses. They also are given a standard-issue firearm, ammunition, and uniform that are required to be kept at home. Guess what crime rates are in Switzerland? Almost non-existant.
Guns have been proven to lower crime-rates, it's a known fact. Besides, even if guns were banned for whatever reason, criminals would still get guns anyway. Hell, they already get them illegally in most cases in the first place. With guns banned, then you'd have no way to fight back.
Holy shit.
Who are you and what did you do to Gmod_Fan77?

It's way too late to change history now, the matter of illegal production, smuggling, and theft of firearms is beyond control. The problem now is that firearms are in the wrong hands and there's politicians who believe that criminals would follow anti-gun laws.
Yes the same people who break the law will follow the law. :downs:

Then why don't we have these problems in Europe?

I think it's heart-warming when Gmod_Fan, Gummylab, JDK721, HumanAbyss, and Boba_Fett can agree with each other.
And the KKM.

You do. Look up your home invasion rates compared to ours.
She says it like it's a bad thing.
yeah! it sure is working out for china
oh, right
Gun bans more than half the time cause an increase in crime, as a matter of fact. :v: (For anyone thinking that this is bull, I saw it on a very large list of gun facts that had proof- I would get it, were I not so lazy.)
A little story I got from the news, by the way: Kid gets attacked by dog, is getting "Ripped to shreds." People watch in horror. Nobody's really do anything. Man Goes into his home, grabs his pistol, and kills the dog. Kid survives.
Yes, Guns kill people. They can also save people.

don't present "proof" if you're not going to cite sources

Sorry, my bad. I forgot where it was, anyway.
lets see the only action obama took against/for guns at all.
he legalized it to be carried in parks.
fascist

Um

He voted for so many anti-gun measures in his time as a Senator, it's ridiculous.

And yet he's had nothing to do with banning guns, with doing anything to your "rights". Nor will he. He understands both political suicide, and the difference in just flat out banning guns and regulation.
show me these anti-gun measures in effect right now
rather or not they're in effect currently doesn't matter, it's the fact that he voted for them that shows his political alignment on them
i'm not saying he actually does plan to ban guns, i just felt like correcting you
Did you even read some of those? They seem like good things.

Read some of them. Laws about guns aren't instantly fucking bad.
show me these anti-gun measures in effect right now
what does that even matter

when did i say they were
show me these anti-gun measures in effect right now
Why? The point is that he did vote for them and wanted them to pass. The fact if they passed or not is mainly irrelevent.

Most of those are gun bans, and gun bans are in general stupid, we have gone over that for the last eight pages of why and how. It just increases a criminal market and prevents you from legally buying one, criminals will still own a gun, and from the illegal market being boosted from it being the only way to get one. Meaning it will actually be easier for a criminal to get a gun.
Why? The point is that he did vote for them and wanted them to pass. The fact if they passed or not is mainly irrelevent.
he voted for them, but he ain't banning guns left and right while he was in the office the whole time like mega-conservatives say he's gonna do
HES GONNA BAN GUNS
HES GONNA BE EXTREME GUN CONTROL
HES GONNA REGULATE GUNS TILL IT'S NOT WORTH IT
in fact, he legalized concealed guns to be allowed in parks, holy shit fascism 2010.
Why? The point is that he did vote for them and wanted them to pass. The fact if they passed or not is mainly irrelevent.
Read them. Do all of those sound so fucking bad to you? Some of them are down right stupid, but some of them seem like reasonable pieces of legislation.
Least of all, it seems like he learned his lesson.

Yes but the fact that he voted for some that are stupid shows that he is pretty damn stupid.

And I am not claiming he is doing that at all. I am disagreeing with what he voted on, nothing more and nothing less.

This just in, one action determines your life for ever. Not to mention, you can never ever learn from your mistakes.
This is a fact.
