Unfortunately, those come hand in hand.
Although, the benefits outweigh the negatives.
Oh just shut up Palin. Go back to Alaska, no one here likes you.

Whoever wants an AW ban wants to ban all guns.
Actually I don't think it needs to be a sudden confiscation of all guns at once.
[editline]11:00PM[/editline]
But that's someone else's problem again
You live in Finland so I don't think you quite understand how important the Second Amendment is to us.
You live in Finland so I don't think you quite understand how important the Second Amendment is to us.
It would be like if we were arguing about healthcare in Finland. It's silly.
You live in Finland so I don't think you quite understand how important the Second Amendment is to us.
It would be like banning viking helmets and axes in Finland.
It would be like if we were arguing about healthcare in Finland. It's silly.
My analogy is better
Guns, the US of A silliest hobby, as if regular people really needed all that arsenal. :colbert:
Guns, the US of A silliest hobby, as if regular people really needed all that arsenal. :colbert:
Yet we all have the right to have that hobby.
Guns are fucking fun, and banning them just makes it harder for the people who defend themselves against gun wielding criminals. Besides, banning the sale of guns would only prevent the murderous individuals from getting them, most gangs get their guns overseas illegally.

Didn't he re-allow guns in National Parks and on Amtrak trains? As far as I know, those are the only things gun-related he's done, and they're pro-gun.
Correct me if I'm wrong about that.
nope, you're right
the right-wing's beliefs about Obama's supposed anti-gun stance are totally unfounded
Clearly that's just to lull them into a false sense of protection
Oh just shut up Palin. Go back to Alaska, no one here likes you.
I think she should move to russia and make beautiful manchildren with putin.
I am a conservative with liberal views and I hate both parties right now, republicans say they dislike gays to get more voters, liberals say they like them to get more voters, it's all about an endless circle jerking to gain power on both sides while the citizens in the middle get screwed, or maybe I am just too snugly putting on my tinfoil hat.
You have never heard of the firearms acts in america have you?
oh whoopie.
What's your point? Any average joe can still walk in and get a gun.
as if regular people really needed all that arsenal. :colbert:
You don't need to collect action figures
you don't need to play a sport
you don't need to paint
You don't need to have friends
What's your point? Any average joe can still walk in and get a gun.
After a background check yes. You have no idea how a gun purchase works do you?
What's your point? Any average joe can still walk in and get a gun.
and...?
What is your argument here
You don't need to collect action figures
you don't need to play a sport
you don't need to paint
You don't need to have friends
You can't casually walk in and kill someone with a sport, paint or friends.
Yes you can use some club to beat someone down, but that is substantially harder and requires a whole different mental state to actually go through with it. With a gun it can be a spur of the moment thing, all you need to do is pull a trigger.
After a background check yes. You have no idea how a gun purchase works do you?
Go to store, background is clean, buy gun, shoot someone.
and...?
What is your argument here
That is shouldn't work like that? The average person has no reason whatsoever to own a gun. If you're a hunter, police officer or the like that's fine, no problem with that, it's your job, but no one else needs a gun.
But a person can take one of these guns and shoot up a school.
A person can take a sword and cut up a school.
Guns, the US of A silliest hobby, as if regular people really needed all that arsenal. :colbert:
You don't need cars either.

Not really. If you're not a murderer, you hesitate on pulling on the trigger.

Ok like I told the last guy.
Tell me if you have a way to ban guns in the US that is logistically possible and I might find a way to take your arguments seriously

Also a knife can do the same thing. Just quieter and a lot less noticeable.

I don't know, do I look like a government official or something? I'm just saying if it's possible we should make it happen, people don't need guns.
I'm in Canada by the way.
Okay, so you live in Finland. Have most likely never been to the US and probably have some weird dream of it being a gun danger zone. When in actuality, despite what statistics would probaly make someone think, in my life I have only seen one or two people open carrying a firearm in public, and I have never ever witnessed a guncrime. In the 9 years that I have lived here I have only heard or maybe one or two gun crimes. That's including the three towns in the area, not just a small town. ( I also lived in Texas for 7 years and never saw someone who wasn't a police officer carrying a firearm in public )
However, crazy redneck militias who hate the big bad guvment do exist, and a small uprising would be extremely lucky if that's all that happened. A lot of innocent would die due to the banning of guns and criminals would still have firearms. There would be the biggest firearm blackmarket in history in the US most likely.
Not to mention, there is literally no effective way you could go about banning firearms in the US.
This.

You don't need to have friends
i've yet to see someone murder someone else with action figures, And as sported, if a 14 year old kid comes to school wielding a knife or a golf club, at worst 2-3 teachers will jump on him and restrain him, although if a troubled kid from a gunfreak family choose to buy a military grade firearm for a "quick" trip to school...

People don't need a lot of things. That's NOT the point though. The right to bear arms is guaranteed by the fucking second amendment. That means anyone who wants a gun may have one as long as they have no legal disqualifications. No ifs or buts. That's how it works here.
