What we need is Chrétien running the liberal party again
Yes, I really want him running our country again. Let's not forget it's his fault we can't reach our goal for Kyoto and the whole Liberal Sponsorship scandal that happened under Chretien/Martin, which was a major reason for the 2006 Conservative victory.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's no longer a vote for who'll run the country best, it's a vote for who'll screw it up the least. It's rather sad that this is what politics here has come to, and it's even more sad that it often comes to this in most western democracies.
The election is too early in May for me to vote, but if I could, I'd vote Conservative. A useless gesture in Toronto, but I disagree with their agenda the least.
Did he answer ANY of the questions he was asked without beating around the bush
I think at one point that day he said something along the lines of "this isn't collective bargaining, Mr. Layton" and basically getting upset over parliament being treated like parliament.

in another interview i cant find a video of, though
Harper is like Herpes, he never really goes away
It's why they share so many letters
That would be a kickass attack ad. People would be disgusted and think it's childish, but I, personally, would find it HILARIOUS.
Well, I'm only 17, so I have to wait a year to vote, but from what I've seen and read, I think I'll be voting NDP.
I love the color orange, too.
So sexy, just like Mr. Layton.
*Grrrrrowl!*
I know who I'm voting for.
:colbert:
vive le Quebec libre
I noticed something after looking at the logo on my Air Force hat I have.
Here's the logo for the Canadian Air Force:

Here's the logo for the Conservative Party of Canada:

Notice any similarities?
Conservatives will definitely win a majority here, unfortunately. Wish I could vote.

Vous sommes sans merci!
Good on them!
I just noticed Canada used to have this party:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_Conservative_Party_of_Canada
What does it mean? :psyduck:
I always vote the green party
When you go green you wont be seen
I'd vote CPC but I doubt they have a rep in my riding so I'll probably vote NDP.

Welcome to the club. :australia::respek::canada:
ignored anti-competition complaints from multiple industries (causing the destruction of many independant businesses)
I knew about everything else but can you elaborate on this?
The Conservatives have abandoned the abortion and gay-marriage debates. They publicly stated this and said they would not revisit them in the future.
Do you have a link to where they said this? And what about Harper's talks about partially privatizing our healthcare system? What is their stance on that currently?
And that's exactly my stance as well. The conservatives have said far too many things in the past that I absolutely disagree with and I can't in good faith vote for them because of it. The actions of the liberal party in the past have been, to me, less damaging to the country than the actions the Conservatives would have taken had they been able to.
That's why I will vote liberal. (I'd like to vote NDP but they never come close in my riding so it's a wasted vote)
This is my first year being able to vote and I don't know who to vote for.... Politics confuse me.
That's why I will vote liberal. (I'd like to vote NDP but they never come close in my riding so it's a wasted vote)
The liberals in my area are basically conservatives so thbbbtt to that.
[editline]28th March 2011[/editline]
also my neighbor is my MLA and he's NDP
Do you have a link to where they said this? And what about Harper's talks about partially privatizing our healthcare system? What is their stance on that currently?
I'll try to find a link for you but I haven't had much luck: the media has been really unfair towards the Conservatives and information about them is sparse. As for the health care system, I haven't seen anything about it at all in years. I don't know what to tell you. I can tell you only an incompetant leader would ever challenge Canadian healthcare. It's very important to people here, so I doubt any changes will be made, but I can't guarantee that. Obviously the Conservatives could kiss their asses goodbye in the next election if they made any bad changes to the healthcare system.
vive le Quebec libre
I hope you're joking. It's talk like this that has led the UN to condemn Quebec's human rights violations multiple times. I live in Quebec and the treatment this government gives to my people is absolutely ridiculous. As I say to all Bloc voters, "Grow up."

It seems all the things you're saying the conservatives would never dream to do are things they wanted to do but couldn't because they didn't have the voting power

Vote for NDP.

But they would get rid of it if they could is the issue(conservatives and health care)
They're not doing it because they can't, but if they could, they'd throw us under a metaphorical bus, with the "best intentions", I suppose.
Harper like kity
yeah let's give green party money great idea pal
There's nothing wrong with the green party
They have a national childcare plan we need that
I swear to God if the conservatives win I'll have to strike Canada off of my "countries I can flee too" list.
Cross it off now. We don't want you here.

Hey you got rid of your republican avatar
Hey you got rid of your republican avatar
Gotta show respect for the Conservative Party.

As much as I can disagree with voting for the NDP, there is NO such thing as a wasted vote. Take part in our democracy.
(I'd like to vote NDP but they never come close in my riding so it's a wasted vote)
I never said the greens were an effective vote I said they were a decent party

I always vote, but sometimes effectively voting against the party you don't want is just as efficient as voting for the one you do but will never get.
As I said earlier, it's a tactical decision.
