I hate the idea of caging animals, I feel really bad for the.
My cats sleep anywhere they want, go anywhere they want, meow when they want something and I go a do it for them. It's almost like they're the owners.

Then I dare you to look at their browsing history.
Being isolated in a metallic cage is probably no less stimulating than a dog being locked in a room with no one in it. I compare them because I believe both aren't ambigious from each other provided that they're equally adequate conditions for it's size and comfort of the animal (which is the trivial part). I argue that nearly all pets are kept in a form of confinement but i also recognize there is a degree in which an animal can be comfortably confined. The question for me is not so much the standard of what seems to be tolerable living to us but of one of the animal potentially being just as uncomfortable from the result of being bored, in this case. For example, such like neglection predominantly in large animals and we can go down the list of adjectives for boredom that can make the development of that experience uncomfortable.
However, the fact remains that i see no correlation when a zoo animal could be pacing up and down one section of fence in a safari-like environment and a dog playing with it's owner contently in unsuitable conditions. Interaction, sources of interest is a dominant role in being happy, perhaps even more so than standard of living(?), which i'm sure you probably agree with but neverless i felt like pointing it out on the basis that this was my assumption of why you hate cages. Therefore I couldn't help but think you condem nearly all forms of pet ownership.
Depends on the cat.
My step-brother has a cat that he doesn't let outside of his apartment because she hasn't been nudered yet and because he's a bit worried about it being a bad neighborhood. She often sits at the door meowing, darts across the rooms and jumps up against walls randomly, follows you around a lot, and randomly starts meowing.
(He does treat her well though, she's very social and he plays with her a lot. Also he and his girlfriend sometimes takes her out for walks)
bitch cats can be fucking ballistic, especially if not neutered.
This applies to humans too. I know i get stir crazy when i'm stuck in the house all day.
It's not like they're the owners, they ARE the owners and even worse, they KNOW it
Too bad the problem is that if kept out of containment too much, they'll try to run to the world. ANd this is why keepingthem in is not good either.
This is why I don't want pets my family's dog notwithstanding, I don't wanna keep them contained nor am I fond of letting them loose and prone to escaping.
What kind of pet would even be like that? one that needs niot be contained nor actively wants to run away?
My dog is like that. I can let him out without a leash and he'll always come back and won't go do anything crazy when out loose too. I can walk around public with him and he won't leave my side at all. Just gotta build loyalty and trust with your dog.
