Entire taco shells that are made of Nacho Cheese Doritos? That’s right, they’re called theDoritos Locos Tacos, and they’re coming very soon to a Taco Bell near you. In fact, come midnight March 8, 2012 the Nacho Cheese variety of the Doritos Locos Taco shells will be available at participating locations nationwide.
We’ve heard the rumors, but the official word is in, straight from Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed at a cozy blogger event we’re live tweeting from at the Taco Bell headquarters in Irvine, CA.
According to the information leaking out from the event, not only is the Nacho Cheese variety on its way, a shell made of the equally sought after Cool Ranch Doritos flavor has already been developed, tested and is also on the way for Taco Bell customers soon after.
Some of the tweets arising from the event so far, both Doritos Locos Tacos related and otherwise:
@foodbeast: Baja Blast is never coming to a convenience store or grocery store near you. Only in @TacoBell locations. #doritoslocostacos launch

More information on the new products as they come in. Until then, tune in to Twitter for Geoffrey Kutnick and Marc Kharrat live tweeting the event.

YES YES YES DO WANT WITH BAJA BLAST
Can I just get a huge dorito shell by itself? That'd be awesome.
oh god cool ranch
Taco Bell food just looks so unhealthy, even compared to Burger King and McDonalds.
that looks fucking disgusting

also is that logo meant to be an ECG flatlining
Looks delicious.
didn't think taco bell could get any more delicious

The one and only reason I would visit the U.S.
Customs would surely understand my reason to come into the country.

Awesome
Oooh, yo quiero Dorito tacos... It just seems so lovely to have FLAVOURED TACO SHELLS.
Doritos are terrible. The flavouring powder is piled on too thickly, and there's almost no corn flavour at all.
I don't know why anyone would like them.

Who would buy corn chips to taste the corn?
Who would buy corn chips to taste the corn?
Pretty much. The corn part of Doritos is merely the vehicle by which to deliver pounds of powered sodium and cholesterol to our feeding holes.

why do americans talk about sodium all the time?
why do americans talk about sodium all the time?
Because they think they're educated in chemistry. Or fat. Pick one.
What are these Doritoes...?
And what kind of sorcery is this Taco Bell practicing?
No, but on a more serious note, WHY CANT WE HAVE A GOD DARN TACO BELL?
A Doritos taco shell?

that's basically just a hard torilla covered in powdered cheese
not as impressive as people would have you think
I really wish Taco Bell would spring up around the UK. If they opened straight away with many 24 hour drive through stores and cheap saver menu's they would literally make a fortune.
My arteries are ready
You people that say it's unhealthy and disgusting and you wouldn't eat it... Have fun going through life eating grass and sticks, you pussies
Dorito Taco's? Fuuuuuuck Yes
So glad we have a Taco Bell in Manchester v:v:v
These come out on my birthday. Awww yeah.

Too bad we don't have Taco Bell in the UK :(
God damn they need to make a taco bell here in denmark.
For people who say this looks disgusting, what commonly available food doesn't? You people are weird

Not to put a damper on your spirits but it's unlikely the same deal will be struck in the UK.
I remember a deal Burger King had a while back (actually I don't fully remember) which I was excited about, turns out it was US/Canada only.
Seriously though, Taco Bell should get into the UK as thoroughly as Starbucks did a few years ago. By that I mean start springing up everywhere.
Starbucks have even struck a deal with Thomas Cook airlines to serve their drinks on their flights, meaning you pay £3 for a hot chocolate that you have to fucking stir yourself because the shitty air hostesses can't muster the effort to do it for you.
