What happened to tunisia anyway?
Because of stupid media, I haven't heard from them since egypt got involved.
Yeah. Looks like constructing a democracy from scratch is much less interesting than a revolution.
Anyway, from what I know. Everything is going rather fine for them. Of course peopel couldn't speak for themselves for the last 25 years in there, so appearently there is a little too much enthusiasm when it comes to freedom of speech now (read: everyone says what he thinks and political parties are popping out like they'r a new fashion). But that's normal again and it will just take time for things to calm down. (the Frenchie revolution took years to settle, why not these ones.)
The real lesson to be learned here is that dictatorships won't last any longer, and now you either give back what you stole (including freedom), or you get kicked out by the end of the month.
Interesting times we'r living in, buddies. :munch:
Viva la Revolucion!
Now, let's hope it gets better there.
Watch gas prices skyrocket now.
Hopefully they'll be able to organize a successful democracy.
About damn time!!
I just hope that someone good well end up leading now, and that the fears of an Islamist state or military dictatorship are really unfounded.

You mean a radical Islamic state. Not all Islamic states are as radical as Saudi Arabia, you know.
This reminds me of the whateverthenamewas-stan riots and the Jude L.A.W. Greatest riot I've ever seen.

Big props for Egyptians
Glorious news! I wish that I was at home when this first broke news
Any news on what happens know?
Finally, protesting was bland without the riot police and teargas. It just wasn't the same.
But he's gone at long last! Now the hard part, to rebuild. :v:
Military is taking control of the country, they announced that they wish for a democratic civil governance in place in correspondence with the desire of the people. A new constitution will be proposed soon™ (we have a couple of modern constitutional drafts sitting on the shelves of our universities) and we can go from there.
It's pretty ominous to see Iran and the west celebrating the same thing.
called on the army to "run the affairs of the country."
Wait a second, isn't that what got them into this mess?
It's pretty ominous to see Iran and the west celebrating the same thing.
Ahmadinejad (sp?) said that Egypt's victory was akin to Iran supposedly gaining victory over America in 1979. He's so full of shit it's ridiculous.
I hope my country is next, i would like a more competent government than the retarded corrupt one we are having (i bet i'm going to get arrested for this).

Which is why it's pretty worrying that he's developing nuclear weapons. I mean nuclear power...
Bring on the military dictatorship. :woop:
I wanted to see him go like everyone else, but really putting the military in charge? lol
now it's time for the hard part

You mean the same 1979 where Iran overthrew the military dictatorship established by the United States? The one with a Shah that killed millions of his own people because the US taught him how. Yeah, that Ahmadinijad guy sure is full of shit.

Idk what Iran is so mad about, we just replaced their Democracy with a Dictatorship because they wouldn't sell us oil. I don't see the big deal. :downs:
It shall be known today that the constraints of modern society shall forever be re-written.

And they just replaced the former oppressor with the same thing that resulted in the last three or so oppressors; the military.

The day before these guys were working in bakeries, toy factories and such, but the day after they decided to raid a Soviet Surplus and carry rocket launchers around.
