I got a postcard that said mean things, lets shoot the postman!
David Cameron trying to appear strong and coming off as a total idiot? What else is new.
People who fucking join this site are ASKING for anonymous hate.
It's terrible when it comes down to this and the hate isn't right in any situation. But what do people expect?
Any chance somebody gets to be anonymous, it usually ends in something negative because they can lash out and take no responsibility for it.
And what I never understood is the fucking dumbass girls at my school. They "answer" the questions with drama and crying and telling them to stop. If they just didn't publish them and just delete them NOBODY WOULD KNOW A QUESTION WAS ASKED/RUMOR WAS BROUGHT UP.
God damn, David Cameron is the perfect stereotype of the crotchety old guy bitching and moaning nonstop about all these new interwebs things those no-good kids are doing these days.
I havnt seen a single one of these website without some really bad stuff written on it. This kid should have stayed away...
That title made me think Cameron was the hanged teen's father
Charge the government with genocide because of all the murders in their country
Charge the land the country takes up because the murder takes place on the land. Charge the semi-endless fractal that is all of reality since to gain the state of true or false every possibility must happen including the death of that one girl and the writing of this post.
David Cama-moron does not understand how the internet works, it's the parents fault for allowing their kids to go on social networking websites in the first place.

wouldn't camoron work better
David Camoron
:v:
But seriously, it's like me getting a papercut and suing the person that invented paper.
This whole thing is stupid, it's not hard to close an account or not sign on to the website.

Might as well take the entire internet to court with that kinda logic.

"I got bullied on the internet, let's shut down all UK ISPs"
ban all forms of communication in case anybody gets offended
Like I said in the last thread. It's just as easy to block your caller ID on a phone, call someone up and tell them to kill themselves. Why haven't we banned phones yet?
It's sad that this girl died, but blame the bully, not the format in which they used to bully.
Why not boycott and charge Facebook too?

Your pizza looks delicious.

It gave me food poisoning. Let's ban pizza.
I don't have an ask.fm account, but people from my school having a hate train about me on it (and I'm fairly certain everyone I knew was aware because I found out after people began sharing it on twitter). Eventually it came to my attention, and the worst thing was it wasn't anonymous. The things they said were fairly standard, "hope you die" etc, the part that actually hurt was I saw and spoke to them every day and had no idea they were saying these things.
Anyways, it's the people not the format, ask.fm has bought in privacy protection and if people begin harassing you in their own name just report them (to parents, teachers, police not the site) it's not hard to document these posts. At the end of the day the hate wasn't from the site it was from the people expressing it.
the only person who can stop cyberbullying is the person being cyberbullied.

That is if it's only on the internet and not a real life problem.
I see people use that shit all the time.
To be honest, if you want anonymous people to ask you questions. Then this is going to happen. It's your own responsibility to ensure that you can handle what people say when you make your account.
snip
Not sure if it's worth a new thread but some major advertisers have cut funding for ask.fm, so now they're likely to have less money to pay for moderators to look at complaints. Very clever.
More website blaming:

I love the irony of these people trying to stop cyberbullying by ganging up on the owners of the site and demonizing them as being the ones directly responsible for this.
"Ask.fm should face manslaughter, even murder charges"
So you should face negligence for not talking to your own daughter about her problems?
People are bullied in schools a lot.
Ban schools.
I can kinda understand why cyberbullying is an issue on sites like facebook, but this is fucking *ask fm*.
its like the site was literally invented so you could give people you know abuse and not worry about getting any fallout for it, why the fuck would you even sign up? and if you did, why would you even care what some anonymous interwebs commenter said about you?.
I blame the parents since they're supposed to be responsible for their child's safety and well being, it's not the internet or the schools responsibility to take care of your kids, it's your own as a parent.
