I find this extremely offensive. I'm much fatter and more pizza faced than Joe.
This is a survey of people who still play Runescape, and it's being published by The Daily Mail, how more accurate could you get?
I don't really see why casual games should be excluded. It's like surveying drivers but leaving out people who drive a Nissan Leaf.
It's more like wanting to survey car enthusiasts, you should leave out people who drive to get from a to b.
My sister laughed at me when she found out I've invested over $1000 in my Steam account, but when I told her she has a horse in the backyard that was bought for several thousand dollars she said "but that's different" :downs:
Friend: You spent HOW much on a graphics card?! Me: You spend HOW much on ammo/new guns every other month?
I'm willing to bet that a) kids in their teen years are less likely to be employed because of school and b) many older gamers are employed because how the hell else are we suppose to purchase these games if we don't have income.
By becoming overweight, developing diabetes, and living on disability. Duh!
I don't get what the point of this entire thing is, it seems to me like DM are once again treating people that care about computer games as if they are an inferior sub species to the human race.
I hate how people always say "Look, you spent 200$ on gaming!". It's not like other hobbies don't cost money.
It's funny, because it is usually the idiot who just spent $200 dollars on neon-colored basketball shoes who says it. Or maybe a dipshit who drops $200 on a pair of Beats.
The guy looks like DSP before he was corrupted by the DarkSyde.
Most of these surveys tend to consider playing any video games at all for any amount of time as "being a gamer." Just playing Angry Birds on your phone for 2 minutes makes you a "gamer" to most of these surveys.
The survey was conducted by Jagex, so every respondent is a regular RuneScape player
the man and woman have the same characteristics so idk..maybe its less 'true face of gamers' and more 'ultimate result of combining 2000 face portraits together'
Looks like the most generic faces ever.
I don't really see why casual games should be excluded. It's like surveying drivers but leaving out people who drive a Nissan Leaf.
Because Angry Birds and Farmville are normal people games, while being a "gamer" carries the implication of being removed from the society of normal people.
