mosquitoes are just as useless as cockroaches.
I tried to imagine an entire continent burning, and all I got was an erection. Is this bad?
Only if it lasts more than four hours. [editline]24th December 2015[/editline]
well they have widespread (i guess?) campaigns about preventing them from spreading. since they lay their eggs in still water, people are encouraged not to leave buckets outside for too long, but then you get stuff like rich people leaving their beach houses unchecked for months which can result in infested pools, for example
Yeah, they have a really cool slogan, something like: "If the dengue mosquito can kill, then we can't let him live" That's some Judge Dredd shit. [editline]24th December 2015[/editline]
From what I understand their role is really limited and nothing actually feeds on them exclusively. We could actually exterminate mosquito's without any real large impact on any ecosystem.
Well, I heard they're already working on it
That's just terrifying. What kind of neurological damage is caused, something akin to mental retardation or worse because the article mentions some cases of death.
mosquitoes are just as useless as cockroaches.
Oh come now, Roaches make great feeder animals for reptiles and amphibians. Can't say the same for mosquitoes.
I wonder if there are going to be any conspiracies about government mass vaccination through mosquitoes and how this case is some government bio-weapon. Shame that it happened to born babies though. Hopefully they are able to recover and not have any mental debilitation.
Can't believe over 100 people didn't even read the article not even the OP, and then also continue to discuss my post like I was completely serious. The article says the virus was first discovered in Africa, same goes for HIV, ebola, etc. Let's also not forget how widespread malaria is in it's tropical region, and there are also parasites there so messed up that most of us can't even imagine. Also species move thanks to global warming. Now we have some Asian mosquitoes here that came just 10 years ago and are rapidly spreading. African ones could come here too.
it was probably the vaccinations that caused this, not the mosquitoes.
