How about we introduce a new bill that taxes churches, ends American occupation overseas and diverts the savings into improving diplomatic relations with other nations and scientific research for the betterment of all mankind. Can we try that?
Apparently not.
What about we add a new tax taxing everyone except American allies.

As perfect as this would be, to do that would make D:< face religious nuts go mad.
Iraq and Afghanistan still require troops. Other places you mentioned are of no real concern, hence why i said half of the current budget would easily do.
There was never any real war either. It has pretty much always been a peacekeeping operation. Imagine all police suddenly disappearing from the US, and that is what it would be like if we left Afghanistan. Pure chaos.
I suppose you think war is peace too.

You think that's bad, just try to make the churches of Scientology pay it.
I live near a monstrosity of a non-denominational bible worship church near me that might as well be a stadium. Every Sunday the roads leading to it are impassable.
I think it all depends on where you live. All the churches around here a very small, the biggest things they have are youth centers and shit for the Y. Now, down towards St. Louis you have these ridiculous fucking monster churches that scream: "FUCK HUMILITY". Its sad really.
Taxing churches would be fucking impossible.

Why are you typing like an idiot in those quotations, as opposed to what everyone thinks the sudden collapse of churches would be a very, very bad thing.

Churches can vote?
Their asses on the pew can vote in close enough lockstep that they may as well have the vote.

Yep that quote sounds about right, we as an evolutionary race have to make larger steps than ever before since the amount of fucked up shit we've done to this planet (there is no way someone could make the argument "this thing happens every 10,000 years" bull because humans have definitely accelerated the process ten-fold).

Yes.
Constellation is horrible, while its nice they want to keep the space program around they should at least draw up new plans for a better vehicle.
